Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThere are some room for improvement: The towel could have been a bit larger than the minimal expectable size. The locker keys should have some luminous key tags which can be seen better in the low light conditions, else it is hard to find a free locker at night. Lockers metal walls could have been covered some soft material to reduce the noise when using them. The pillow should have been more thicker, had to use my bag to keep the insides from slipping out from under my head.
I liked the simplicity and the communication. Cleaner than some hotels. Most things was as expected. e.g. The noise cancellation of the capsules are not very good, there are free earplugs for that and it's still way better than classic hostels. The movement of the neighbours shakes the capsule quiete a bit which was funny at first. The length is just about enough for a normal-height person not too small not too big, the width and the height were ok.

The pods were comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were clean.

NetherlandsEven though I booked it and I’m very happy I do think the concept of a futuristic cublicle doesn’t fit the idea of Vienna too much, perhaps it’s too contrasting. Also not a place for extraverte or meeting people. Also the facilities are very minimal but I’m assuming that also goes with the concept. Not easy to bring and eat your own food for example.
I liked the privacy and the quality of the mattress. Inside it’s super cosy and it actually made it difficult to leave the hostel because I was so comfy. Perfect for a couple of nights if you travel for business or if you’re a naturally more introverted person.

FinlandI was given directions to use the safe inside the capsule but for some reason it didn't seem to work. It's not a big deal though since there are lockers with keys outside the capsule.
The capsule was surprisingly bigger than I thought and quite comfortable. The whole place was air conditioned which was a huge bonus since I was traveling in July. Bathroom and toilet were also clean.

IrelandThe pods aren’t soundproof but we had considerate neighbours. The pod got warm at night but it was very hot outside.
The pods were clean and comfortable. They included good quality headphones to watch the TV and the TV had all streaming platforms and YouTube. The beds were comfortable and the site was clean. The site was near the theme park and we were able to get into the centre in under 15 minutes via metro.

NetherlandsIt's a nice Capsule / Spacepod hostel. Overall I had a good stay here, the there were some inconveniences such as bathroom flooding and there is no real common area to hangout and meet people. It was also hard to get new towels.

New ZealandThe towels are on the small side but at least there were some and they did the job. A communal fridge could be good too. The fans in the capsule could be cooler but if your doors open the aircon is a nice reprieve.
Good location to prater station. The bed/room was awesome and loved the experience, it was clean and well kept and loved the showers, toilets and lockers. Very good stay. They even sent videos on how to use the capsule

Ukraine1. AC wasn't fantastic 2, No kitchen - only a kettle 3. No staff 4. A little expensive - certain things are gimmicky but certainly an interesting to experience for the first time. 4. The capsule is an interesting first time experience but not something I'd want to spend multiple nights in a row due to some practicality issues due to the confined space. 5. The whole experience can be daunting for the elderly cuz there are no staff and you gotta figure out how the 'capsule' works on your own.
1. WIFI was fast 2. The capsule was stunning 3. Everything was neat and tidy 4. The showers were spectacular 5. A good TV with two separate headphones 6. Plenty of storage space in the lockers 7. We were allowed to use said lockers after checkout 8. We were allowed to use bathroom before check-in 9. Excellent location

United KingdomAir conditioning in the communal space was good, but our pod was uncomfortably hot at night, despite having the fans turned to maximum. Opening the door to our pod was quite loud. The facilities were also quite limited -- no kettle, cups, fridge, etc., and only a small hand towel provided.
Fun concept for a place to stay, surprisingly comfortable, quiet and not claustrophobic! Other customers were quiet at night. The place was very clean, no staff on site but they were helpful and responsive over text. They also allowed us to store our luggage in a locker for a few hours after checkout, which was very useful!

United KingdomOne of the showers did not drain properly and there was no way to dry your hands in the toilets.
Not a social hostel but good for travellers who want more privacy than a dorm without the hotel price tag. Note: this is a pod hostel - don’t expect a lot of space, just a small private area for you to sleep in. Location was safe and convenient for public transport, bed was comfortable, and staff were responsive to questions, though I never saw a member of staff in person during my stay. It would be good to separate the bathroom area from the sleeping room, as some other guests used the facilities early in the morning and made a lot of noise (though earplugs are provided). My TV unfortunately didn’t work properly but otherwise, everything worked fine and was nice and comfortable. Some hooks could be installed into the pods to hang up towels/clothes.
