How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The windows in the kitchen and living room were practically unusable, as they faced a small inner courtyard with large ventilation ducts passing through. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from nearby kitchens. The bathroom is relatively small and lacks a separate shower cabin, which made showering quite a challenge.
Lavante Rathaus Apartments is ideally located for exploring the city. It's just a short walk from both the metro and tram stations, making it easy to get around Vienna. The neighborhood is vibrant, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés, including several spots that serve excellent specialty coffee. There are also many fantastic options nearby for enjoying a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend Lavante for families—the apartments are spacious. The sofa is quite comfortable for sleeping, especially for shorter visits. Without a doubt, we’ll choose Lavante again the next time we’re in Vienna.

Very nice hotel with great location. You can use an underground parking available. The room is clean and has a very comfortable bed.

Good location, easy walking distance for the Innere stadt and bus/train routes. Good amenities within the apartments and surrounding areas. Good value for money. Very helpful staff who arranged an early morning airport transfer for us.

Maybe the bathroom needs to be clean better, as on the shelves there was a little bit of dust
The position was awesome, as by foot you are very close to Rathausplatz and 10 minutes away from Hofburg and rest of the Vienna’s centre. The neighbourhood is quiet, the flat is perfect both if you need to stay in Vienna a few or a lot of days. And lastly, the front office guys and girls are one of the most helpful I ever met.

I love the location. Easy accessto the Metro, Billa and restaurants nearby. The receptionist, Nikola was very helpful.

There was some noise from the street, but this did not in any way spoil our pleasant stay.

There were some renovations, and there was a smell of paint, but it was no biggie because it was something to be expected, a simple misalignment of timing.
Beautiful apartments in a central location of the city. Clean rooms with excellent room keeping and very helpful staff ready to help us in everything we needed.

The beds were too soft for our comfort (but that's the case in nearly all hotels). It would have also been very useful if there was the option to have breakfast at the hotel.
The staff was extremely friendly and helped us out when we had to reschedule our stay due to sickness. The room was clean, with a small kitchen and a tub, very spacious livingroom - perfectly suited for a family of four. They let us use their bikeroom for our strollers and were great with the kids. The location is perfect - nice area, very central, right next to tram and bus, and the metro isn't far either.

Some noise during the night with people coming back and talking loudly in the courtyard / stairs.
Really spacious apartment with 2 sleeping areas, kitchen and nice bathroom. Staff so friendly and helpful and great check-in instructions for out of hours arrival. Lovely cafe around the corner - Creme de la Creme, amazing breakfasts!
