The only "negative" thing we'd have to say is that the breakfast price was quite high (about 7€ for one dish) and that the food was not the greatest we've ever had.

My friends and I stayed for 3 night in a private ensuite room with four bunk beds. The room was clean and comfortable enough. What we loved most was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the hostel, conveyed through the decor and. the lovely staff.

The coffee in Vienna is world renown. I would expect the coffee at this hostel to be above average, and it was not. It’s bitter, near tasteless, and they do not offer normal cream beside oat milk and soy milk. If this hostel improved its coffee game, it would be 10/10–not a 9/10.

the picture accuracy, I expected my room to be bigger, at least that's how it showed in the pictures, also the neighboors are quite strict in these area, so bare in mind to keep quite even when talking in the street

Great friendly staff and a very cool atmosphere. Trendy little hostel with a cosy common area where they have a happy hour every evening. Good drinks and good times were had. If you are looking for a hostel with an exceptional social experience, this is the place to go!

The rooms get quite hot, so we often had to sleep with all windows open which meant we were exposed to street noise, people smoking on the street, people coming / going from nights out - not a big negative but definitely bring ear plugs. Curtains for beds might be a good addition to give extra privacy.

Really helpful staff, super welcoming and social environment with plenty of space to chill, relax, work, have a drink or socialise if you want to. Bike hire is very useful for getting around the city, and the hostel is great for providing lots of recommendations and tours. Train station / bus stop is less than 10 mins walk away, and the city centre can be reached very quickly and easily. Bathrooms and common areas are kept clean. Would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Vienna.

Rooms were very hot at night with only a ceiling fan. It was a bit difficult to sleep for this reason.

The location of the hostel is not great but the rest was fine. Hence, it is important to consider the location when assessing whether to stay or not here. We needed to ask for more shampoo (but this is minor).

The rooms were really big and spacious, with lots of common space to walk around and socialize in. A lot of the bigger dorms had a bathroom and shower attached which was really convenient. The common areas were really well kept and had lots of space for everybody in the building. The social atmosphere of the hostel was one of the best that I experienced during my trip, very rarely did i feel the need to go out of the hostel and meet people. The garden area was also lovely to have access to. It really had all of the amenities and facilities that you could need during your stay. The location of the hospital was also really good, with lots of eating places nearby and very easy access to trams and stations.

It was very close to the Train Station, where you could see some strange behaviours while returning back late at night.

A bit far from the center but easily reachable by public transport or foot.

Really cool and relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for solo or group travellers. Lots of socializing possibilities to have a nice evening. Overall great people and staff.

We really missed a shower curtain in the bath tub. Also, the carpet in the living room is quite dirty and one of the pillows was not washed properly. If you could fix those things, the apartement would be excellent.

The hostel Ruthensteiner is a very nice, relaxed place. The appartement is very spaceous with a lovely balcony/roof garden.

The place is good, near tram stops and lots of cafés, has nice food and good ambiance. I went alone and met great people, never a dull time. The staff is GREAT and super nice, will definitely go again.

nothing! was perfect

Everything! Beautiful and kind staff, very cute and homey but super clean and very well planned out. Sweet little drawings everywhere of maps and instructions around the hostel. Communal dinners every night for a pay as you feel system, beautiful garden to sit in during the day, piano and guitars to use and bikes to rent. Metro card available to rent for 4€ a day. Super helpful staff and directions available, group activities multiple times a day! Beautifully clean and spacious dorms that are newly renovated and cleaned daily. I loved it here! Very social but not raging parties - Couldn’t have been better :)

It was bit noisy at night. I cannot find any fault. The description matched reality.

The staff was very friendly and the room size was apt for 2 people. The hostel had really good vibe.

Need to make the bed on our own. If somebody check-in at night, making the bed might cause some noise. There is no AC, so rooms might be hot (but we could borrow fans). Additionally, it would be better if there is a bed curtain.

Staffs are friendly and always glad to answer all kinds of questions. The location is good.

The bathroom facilities are a bit small and could be renovated a little bit but they get the job done still.

The environment was wonderful and I loved that they did dinner in the evenings for the hostel guests!
