Nothing related to the hotel. It is quite difficult to get to the lakes by walk, but it's a problem of signaling.

It was a convenient, confortable, cost-wise hotel in a wonderful location. There are some restaurants in the area.

SIGI JOHN DISAPPEARED AFTER MAKING MY WIFE A CUP OF TEA AT BREAKFAST JUST BEFORE WE LEFT. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, OTHER THAN THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND TO GIVE THE KEY TO. WE LEFT IT NEXT TO THE COMPUTER ON THE SERVICE DESK AND HOPE THAT IT WAS FOUND (ROOM 108). I REALIZE MR JOHN IS EXTREMELY BUSY AND WOULD HAVE CALLED HIM TO CHECK ON THE KEY, BUT THIS EMAIL WAS ALREADY IN MY INBOX. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT, JUST A CONCERN. OUR PHONE IS 1-412-341-4641 SHOULD HE WANT TO REACH US.

BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. SERVICE AT OTHER MEALS WAS EXCELLENT AND WE WERE NOT BOTHERED WHEN WE OCCUPIED A TABLE WITH FRIENDS ON OUR LAST EVENING. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY PLEASANT.

I was not aware the reception closes at 20:00 and we had an unplanned delay so it was a bit stressful to get there.

The connection without a bike or a car is a bit complicated but the hotel, surroundings and breakfast are worth to reach it :)

I would have loved to have a view of the beautiful lake & mountains from the hotel (or, even better, my room), but I don't think we could really expect that for the price, & the location was near our conference venue, so it worked out well from that perspective.

The staff is wonderful! They were all very friendly & helpful, and they went above & beyond to accommodate our needs.

Normally I would give an 8, but since there was nobody at the reception when we arrived, nor did we have a communication inadvance on where to get the keys, I have to give one point less. All the other accomodations always contact you in advance with instructions and I had to call the owner. On top of that, the next day at 7:30 there was nobody at the reception to pay for the stay, so again I had to call. I would have preferred to just be charged in advanced and have the keys ready upon my arrival.

Room was nice and comfortable. Bus stop and restaurants are near by.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean. The check-in was online and it helped to save time. On the first floor there was kettle and cups to make coffee and tea. This was very convenient. we liked it

We had a small issue with the shower: the water from the shower cabin leaked onto the bathroom floor. However, this was by no means a dealbreaker.

Our room (we got a room with balcony) was big enough, comfortable, and could easily fit 3 people. The female owner was very welcoming and communicative. The breakfast was great; it includeded various local products (we loved the white cheese!). The location is a great selling point: it's within a 45-minute drive to Hallstatt and 1-hour drive to Salzburg. What's more, Altmünster itself is a picturesque village; you'll be able to enjoy a walk in nature there. There are also multiple supermarkets and restaurants, so you can easily get anything you need. There's even a small stream right behind the hotel, which you can hear if you leave your window open. The free private parking was also a plus.

Our room on the third floor was a bit dark for our liking and quite stuffy despite the open window. There is a fan in the room, a bit noisy to use at night. In colder days, it would be no issue.

Great location, 10-15min walk downhill to the lake with parking opposite the hotel. Quiet also, we could only hear the sound of the stream below. We had a nice view of the mountains in the distance. There is a beautiful beach next to the lake with restaurants in the vicinity. Definitely worth a visit, it offers amazing views of the lake and mountains around. Basic continental breakfast is available at extra cost.

Unfortunately, we arrived on Sunday. The restaurant has "Ruhetag", therefore we needed to find a place to have dinner. The cooking is supposed to be excellent in the hotel.

The only and small problem I had was a shower door. They are huge and open outwards, so you have to wait for the water to drip down, otherwise a lot of water will drip to the floor.

The room and the bathroom were spacious, I really apricieted large shower we had view on the mountains, although the hotel is in the middle of the neighbourhood. The small fridge and microwave oven hidden in the wardrobe were pleasure suprise. Breakfast was great and the dinning room was cozy.

It was very hot when we were there and a fan in the room would have been helpful. I'm not bothered about aricon but a simple desk fan to move the air around would be perfect.

This is a modest family run hotel off of the main strip so expectations need to be tempered. However, the staff were helpful, parking was good outside the hotel and the breakfast was adequate. I'd stay here again :)

The hotel gave me the quietest room they could, but my visit coincided with the local festival so it was a bit noisy till the early hours of the morning (especially as it was an exceptionally hot night where I needed the windows open). There were some interesting stalls in the street outside, however, when I got up in the morning. On the whole the festival added to the stay.

Despite the very reasonable price, this is a hotel rather than a pension and it had a cosy restaurant with a good choice of food, which I found very convenient. The staff were friendly and carefully explained the alternative parking arrangements because of roads closed by the festival.
