My stay at Hostel Balkan Han was fantastic! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling to the area!

Showers could be cleaner, everything else was great. The owner tries to make it best experience possible for the guests. 😊

Coziness, location, vibe. I loved staying there (for 6 nights). There is privacy and each bed has its curtains, locker. Its 10 min walk from Main Square. ATM, bakery, coffee shops are close as well. There are 2 fridges to store food. Area for smoking, tiny kitchen, dining area, bar, hair dryer. It was lovely. I highly recommend it. There was also free tea and coffee.

Great location, good facilities. Kitchen is well equipped. Really good atmosphere at the hostel, you feel right at home. Very good value for money.

Volunteers are efficient. Edin the local manager is a cool chap who speaks excellent English and total rockstar.

The rooms were a bit cramped and the lockers quite small, you couldn't fit many things, but at least the basics. The showers were a bit cramped too. In general, it seemed that they wanted to take advantage of every little inch of space in the building. Two of the rooms were right next to the kitchen, so when people stayed there till late, you could hear them clearly, although I don't think it happens often, as there is a curfew at 23:00, when everything should get quiet.

The hostel is in a great location, super close to the city center. The beds were comfortable, they had curtains, and the rooms had lockers. There was a lovely garden where you could chill or socialize. There is also another common area by the reception that is excellent if you want to do a bit of work or just be on your own. It has a well-equiped kitchen, although small. The staff was kind and the owner very thoughtful. He offered me to change rooms when one of the other guests in my room got sick. They have a laundry service, although I didn't use it because I thought it was quite expensive (10 euros).

The kitchen area is a little small and besides the outdoor courtyard there isn’t a place to gather on the main floor.

I love the decor and chill vibes! The volunteers were so friendly and fun. I got great recommendations from the staff and met so many cool people just hanging out in the courtyard. It’s in a great location too so walking to stuff is very easy. Having a towel, locker and welcome shot provided without asking or having to pay was really nice!

Small thing: the second time I stayed there it was too full - when it's raining and everyone's inside the hostel it was too crowded.

Great hostel, very warm atmosphere, lovely garden area and bunk beds with double beds 🤯 Fantastic staff and volunteers! One of my favourite hostels in the Balkans. Definitely recommended!

Nothing major to dislike! It can get cramped when its full as common areas are not so big, but that’s nothing they can change

Great location (not uphill unlike most other hostels!) great dorms with everything you need (curtain, light, plug, basket at every bed, lockers). Kitchen is tiny but pretty well equipped, sufficient amount of bathrooms and showers, great magnetic key system, little bar downstairs to chill with new friends!

The private room/apartment was awesome to stay in. You get a lot of your own space, then you can easily be part of the social scene too. The location was perfect once you get to the hostel from the bus station (there is currently no Uber in Sarajevo). The staff were always super friendly and helpful.

The kitchen area was a bit small downstairs when many guests are staying. The shower area were also small downstairs but upstairs is a bigger bathroom.

A very friendly hostel and a nice cozy atmosphere. Comfy beds with curtains around the bunkbeds for privacy. The big back court yard was very nice to spend time in during the hot weather. The hostel is just 5-10 min. walk away from the old town and just 100 meters from the main street. Not up a steep hill as many places are in Sarajevo. The price per night was cheap for budget travel. Sociable and friendly staff that kept the hostel very clean and cozy.
