clean and comfortable place to stay; near St James Church

The bed was not very comfy.

I loved the fact of being in the center,just over viewing the church. There was a balcony,which was a plus,and in the early morning it was amazing the scenary. The room was clean,except under the bed.

Unfortunately there were screaming Irish kids running around the building and because of the lack of soundproofing, I could hear everything in the room next door aswell. It wasn't really a place to rest and relax, just functional quick sleep and out for the day. It wasn't the cleanest and the bedding was really old and worn.

The location was excellent, right next to the Church.

Breakfast was good, a healthier option for breakfast would be nice ie some fruit, chia pudding etc

The sheets were so simple - just one single sheet and an old 70’s strange cover (very uncomfortable) there was no shower gel, a very cheap mat for the bathroom and shared amenities outwith the room with others (like kettle, iron etc - also very cheap), it was also not like other places where they provide breakfast at the property or dinner and a warm welcome - it was more like a hostel and should not be advertised as a hotel, v disappointed - very sparse and without any love or thought as you would expect in a place like this and I have stayed in many places in Medjugorje and have never had this cold experience. I think the good reviews have come from people who do not know what Medjugorje is meant to be like and the standard expected. It’s not expensive to get some decent covers and some shower gel, a mat and a warm welcome! They have a large table downstairs which in previous years, would have been used by pilgrims but have chosen to stay distant from guests and leave this large room unused. I think it’s very sad.

The location was superb! And the host was very kind to let us leave our bags there and checkout when we needed and he was very communicative when he was asked a question. However, they need to get the rooms up to a good standard and put more love into the place.

I stayed here for a 1-week end of May 2022. The location was perfect next to the church and all the shops and eating places, Owner was very friendly and helpful,

We were in a room on the top floor with very high daily ambient temperatures resulting in the room temp being 29 degrees Celsius on arrival. The bed was too short for my husband who had his ankles resting on the wooden frame. We are from a much colder climate. Having to use the air conditioning unit constantly impacted my husband's health and so we turned it off but were uncomfortably hot. The shower was hand held and required kneeling in a short bath. The room was facing St. James's church so that the bells at 6am and at intervals after that woke us.

The staff were very helpful, it is very close to St. James's church. They allowed us the use of the microwave to prepare gluten free oatmeal which we had brought with us, which was very kind of them. The room and house was spotlessly clean. The views from the room of St. James's church were wonderful. The price was very good but it is for room only.
