Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyMy room was ideal for the solo and petite traveller. It was the roof bedroom and by day 2 I learned to stop bumping my head on the ceiling :) the bed is enough for my 1,50m body, but maybe not for very tall individuals. I really liked staying there, everything was clean, operational, and functional. The shared kitchen had all basic amenities, the shared bathroom was neat and had a lock. I gave it 8 stars because I have 2 things I noticed that could be a little better: 1. I wish that the movement-activated light in the hallway was not quite so sensitive, because it kept turning on all night and I could see it through the cracks around the door. 2. the water in the shower would either be too hot or too cold, with very light pressure. Overall, very pleasant place, everything is taken care of perfectly.

Bulgaria?
Very nice, clean, sunny and comfortable place. The location is very good /only 3 km from top center/ and easy to get to. There are enough shops/incl.laundry/ and restaurants in the near 20-50 mtrs around. The shared kitchen is very clean and there is everything one could need to prepare some dishes. The garden space is also very cute. I'd gladly stay again at this place!

SwedenVery clean both private and shared areas, and with a well equipped shared kitchen. Easy self check in and check out procedure. Not in the city centre but in a nice neighborhood, close to two grocery stores, a tram stop just around the corner, and a metro station a few blocks away. The only problem was that I had the attic room and since I'm quite tall I could not stand up straight in my room. But that would probably not be an issue for most people.

United KingdomWas simply nervous about the staircase leading to the attic room 'To The Moon' but it ended up being fine. Would just simply warn anyone who is not keen on steep or spiral staircases.
Once I became better acclimmated to Brussels, I realised that I was staying in an excellent location (near tram line that went directly to my train station and close to a metro line that took you into the city centre). Very near the Parc du Cinquantenaire. The room was comfortable and quiet and the shared bathroom was always clean and surprisingly available. There is a very friendly cafe nearby called 'Le Berry' that serves great coffee.

SpainThe only problem we faced was to share the kitchen and bathroom. Sadly the other guests were not the cleanest. But we noticed a person was coming to clean every day.
The apartment is equipped with every detail. Is a comfy and warm apartment. The staff was super nice. There is a supermarket near by and the metro straight to the center at 10 min walking.

United StatesCheck-in time is quite late at 15:00, but that is the case in most of Brussels. The owners allowed to leave things in the common area. But they were quite inflexible in communication regarding settlement
We liked the place of residence: close to the tram, not far from the subway, around a supermarket and several shops, not far from the 50th anniversary park. It was quite clean and the common area is quite comfortable, large and well-equipped

Quiet. Shared bathroom but only two rooms on the floor. I stayed 3 nights and i met another customer only once. So it was like private bathroom. Another plus is there are two sinks. Every room has its own sink. The bathroom was spacious. There is a shower cabin and a bathtub.

AustraliaA few extra cushions would make the attic room more comfortable for relaxing AH.
The host was very accommodating when I requested an alternative room due to a chronic back condition. She went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Her brother carried my bag to my room and the kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom was spacious and the wifi was fast. Great location too.

IrelandThe place was immaculate! Great location, laundromat 2 minute walk away and metro about 6 or so minute walk away. Although there was a shared bathroom, didn't bother us as there was a sink for each room and the bathroom was regularly cleaned. Huge bedroom!

BelgiumIt could have been nice to have a small desk or table in the room, although there is some space in the common area.
It was easily accessible, clean, and confortable, especially for the price compared to hotels in Brussels. Although the bathroom was shared, I never had any issue getting access to it in the morning and it remained vertical clean throughout my stay.

United KingdomThe pillows in the bedroom were quite small. You can hear the other guests using the stairs / doors at night time but this wasn’t too bad as I’m half deaf.
The bedroom was lovely with a really comfy bed. The shared bathroom was no problem it was really clean and you each have your own sink / towels. The kitchen was very clean with access to a cooker, fridge etc and all types of utensils, pots and pans. Very quiet area. Owner was lovely and had a chat and housekeeper ladies were very friendly. You are basically left to your own devices, just like staying in your own house. Only saw the other guests once or twice. The home was also really well heated.
