Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgGreat experience! We found the room very clean and comfortable. The owner was awesome. And the breakfast was great, featuring local products. We also did the optional “table d’hôte”, or a 3-course, fixed-price dinner of local dishes with local products. It was fantastic, and I highly recommend taking the dinner, if you can.

United StatesAn absolutely lovely place to stay in Verviers. Unusual and full of charm, and very welcoming. The beds are excellent, and the breakfast full of local specialties. The host will make you feel welcome and even the beautiful dog will come for a belly rub. Conveniently located but maybe a bit hard to find the first time - you just need to trust your GPS. Part of the charm is the various stairs so, as other guests have said, this place is probably not for people with reduced mobility. I will definitely stay there next time I’m in Verviers.

United KingdomIt was all really good.
The house is a beautiful Manor House, lovingly restored by the wonderful Chantel and her lovely husband. Our room was comfortable, the bed super comfy and the bathroom had an amazing shower. Our room also had a lovely balcony where we were able to sit and relax. We opted for a “Suprise” evening meal and oh my, what an amazing suprise it was. We feasted on a delicious 4 course meal, all cooked with such love and attention to detail, it truly was the very best meal we have eaten! Chantel is charming, friendly hostess. Breakfast was also fabulous. Warm boiled eggs, fresh croissants, homemade preserves, fresh orange juice, fresh coffee, cheeses, cold meats , cereals, yoghurts, fruit, etc etc. we will definitely return.

United KingdomUnique and welcoming, Chantal and her family were attentive and accommodating. With notice, we were able to have an evening meal made with locally-sourced produce. Breakfast was continental-style with plenty of choice. This is a quirky B&B that ticks all the boxes for a comfortable stay. Convenient location for the motorway and a bus-trip or short drive into Verviers. Will return if we find ourselves in Belgium again.

DenmarkI booked this charming place for a 3 night stay for my friend and I as we were going to see the 8 hour motorbike race at Spa as well as touring the Ardenne on our bikes. The small access road was a little difficult to see but Mr Gps was on hand to help. On riding in the driveway I was quite stunned by the pure beauty of the place. The spire rising before me instantly gave an impression of history and serenity. The garden was pristine and the sun was shining. Chantel came out to greet us with a huge smile and after a few attempts of greetings in English, my friend and I reverted to our very rusty French which we had in school 50 odd years ago. Chantel did her upmost to make us feel welcome and gave a thorough tour of the facilities We had ordered the surprise 3 course meal, which turned out to be 3 course plus and appetiser. Our starter was a soup which she invited us to guess what it was. I took a sniff and was taken back to my childhood when my grandmother used to make us green pea soup and was applauded by our fine host. It tasted so fresh and wonderful. Main course was a slow cooked lump of veal on the bone with a lovely sauce and extras. Dessert..Belgian chocolate pudding with cream..what else. The whole meal experience was a delight and all home cooked from local produce. When booking the room and meal, Chantel contacted me to ask if we had any preferences or allergies so if you are not to meat then I am sure she ( or more likely her husband Jean Lou ) will make something equally tasty. Breakfast was well laid out and plentiful. You can even squeeze your own fresh orange juice and you sit in an enclosed terrace overlooking the garden. Weather permitting, I am sure that breakfast on the patio or a cold beer or glass of wine from her well stocked fridge would be very nice..we took the latter option. The room itself, well it was a suite with bedroom and living room, was spacious and in style with the rustic charm of the whole place. A perfect place for our stay

United KingdomThe building is under renovation so parts are a bit like a building site, but hopefully this won't be for long.
This is a quirky B&B, and for this reason it is worth a stay. We were fortunate to have the suite which has amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The pool is a welcome addition and the surprise evening meal is worth taking up. The owners are lovely.
