Perfect place for a perfect weekend

Location, nice mix of people, all we needed for a short break. Well run and friendly. A very reasonable choice of foods for breakfast. Would definitely recommend it as a convenient and good value place to stay in Ghent.

One problem I had was that the WiFi didn't work in all areas of the room, which made it difficult for me to work there. Overall, it's fine for a couple of nights, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay. Also, in the same area you can find double rooms with more privacy for the same price. Another drawback was the staff. While they were able to help with requests, they didn't make any effort to be welcoming. Basic information, such as where to find drinking water or the toilets, any info about the area, wasn't shared. When I ordered a coffee, the only response I got was "2.50 - first pay". A little friendliness and warmth would go a long way to making guests feel more comfortable. I really wish the receptionists weren't so robotic in their interactions.

All in all, I had an O.K. stay in this hostel, it was very clean, the other guests were respectful and I was able to get a good night's sleep. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities were well maintained. The location was convenient and the breakfast was good.

I would prefer to have a proper duvet cover for the blanket instead of a plain sheet. But for my one night stand it was OK.

Very nice hostel overall. I stayed in room for 3 girls and it was clean and comfort. The breakfast was also good.

There was also a group of students (about 12 years old) at the same time I stayed, they were extremely loud and kept doing pranks on knocking/smashing others' doors (even my room!) from 20:30 - 10:30 and in the morning next day, it is very annoying.

The common place is very nice; The hostel is close to most of the tourist attractions and not far from the tram station. Bed and shower are very clean (would be better if there were rugs for the bathrooms)

You make your beds after a long tiring day. But I already knew it. No one to blame.

It is very close to the city center. Rooms are ok. Good value for the stay.

I wish they left the coffee machine on for hot water after breakfast‐ or at least had an electric kettle. You can microwave but that's a hassle.

Location was unbeatable, right across a canal from the castle- gesellig charm, cansl views, and the scent woodsmoke when you step out the door. A great selection of Dutch game, and desk clerk had recs of what to play- perfect for Christmas

About 40mins by walk to the train station (a you can just take a tram (4min walk to the tram station)

Lovely lobby area, close to the main attractions. Nice and clean Toilet & shower ensuite in the room. Very comfortable and good breakfast!

Room set up is very unfavorable, you got to listen to 4 other guys constantly taking massive dumps and then the room just absolutely stinks.

The hallway smells of soap all day I wanted to bring my own bedsheets and pillow but was not allowed Breakfast is sufficient, but not great. No greens or sauces

Rooms a bit basic and beds not the comfiest - didn’t bother us but probably not for everyone.

Great location - very central but not on the tourist route. Clean and modern. The communal area is large and welcoming.

There’s no kitchen for cooking and there was so some fruit flies near the garbage bins near the storage room

The location is the best part of the hostel. It’s walking distance to the Center and the castles. There many restaurants and bars nearby. As for the hostel, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast is very good. I’d definitely stay there again when I visit Gent in the future.
