Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands1. It was a warm night during our stay, and unfortunately, only one small fan was provided. This wasn't sufficient for a room accommodating four people, making it uncomfortable to sleep. 2. The pictures on the booking site were a bit misleading. The room we got didn’t match our expectations based on what we saw online, which was disappointing. 3. The bed mattress was quite uncomfortable, which led to a bad night's sleep. A good night's rest is essential, and this really affected our overall experience.
I recently stayed at Escale Chambre d'hôtes Au Cœur de Vieux Profondeville, and my experience was a mix of positives and areas that could be improved. 1. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. It was nice to have that extra room to unwind. 2. The flexible check-in process was much appreciated. It made my arrival stress-free and allowed me to settle in at my own pace. 3. The fresh bread and eggs served in the morning were a lovely touch. It’s always great to start the day with a breakfast that feels homemade and fresh. However, while these aspects were enjoyable, there were some areas where the experience fell a bit short, leading me to rate it 3 stars overall.

NetherlandsEveryone was great for 3 adults and 1 child. Breakfast was included great choices only thing is that the eggs could have been cooked a bit longer. Also the hot water wasn’t working but they informed us and got some money back which was so nice of them. Over all I’ll stay again for sure.

NetherlandsThere is quite a bit of light coming through the window at night, a blackout shade would have been a great help.
The rooms are quite charming upon entering, nicely decorated and the bathrooms were also very nice. The beds and pillows provided for quite a comfortable night. The breakfast provided is simple but satisfactory. There are several restaurants on the same street. Parking is right near the B&B and is free.

PortugalAn amazing cozy place. With all the appliances needed, comfy, nice room, enormous bathroom, a delicious breakfast with fresh bread! They where so nice to let us do a late check-in! The small city and all the beautiful landscapes are so incredible! We can go by bike to everywhere (don't forget your bike or rent some at some place near by). I would recommend this place and I wish I could come back again!

SpainI wasn't expected soft boiled eggs, hard boiled would've been easier to eat. The butter was also expired. Otherwise I thought the selection was good for breakfast and the yogurt was delicious.

BelgiumThe jam and chocolate paste in the fridge were an open large jar. I would prefer to see them in small, closed packaging.
I had a really nice attic room. There is soap, towels, hairdryer,... The room also had a fridge (with breakfast supplies) and coffee machine. I left before breakfast time but the lady made sure I got some bread in the evening. Everything was nice and clean. There was also information about surrounding restaurants in the room.

BelgiumThe breakfast could be better for a B&B. It was good though that it's self service, but options are limited.
Bathroom is really big, you have a bath and shower. Location is perfect, you can start walking from the B&B and you have a good connection to Namur and Dinant.

BelgiumThe room was really warn down, especially the bathroom which was in quite bad condition. The shower was quite literally falling apart, there were tiles missing, the paint on the sink was peeling off... Even though it was really warm and the room is just under the roof, we didn't have a fan in the room and had to ask for it so we received it the next day. It makes no sense to not have a fan in an attick bedroom the whole time during summer. We didn't use the sofa beds because it was just the 2 of us and our baby, but the covers of the sofa beds were really dirty so we didn't even want to sit on them during the day. The reviews said that the breakfast was amazing and I really don't know why was everyone impressed by it- we got bread and 1 boiled egg per person. In the fridge in the room there were some fruit yoghurts, cream cheese, butter, jam and orange juice. But there was no ham, cheese slices, no fresh fruits, plain yoghurt... Nothing that is usually offered during breakfast. There was Nutella and Nesquick, but in big open jars which didn't seem hygienic at all. If this b&b was 50 euro a night, I would give it a good review for sure. But for 140 euro a night, this was a massive rip off. We travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of b&b's in Belgium and this one was by far the worst value for money. I wouldn't go back here and would recommend everyone to look for something else in the same price range.
The bed was comfortable and the location is nice

BelgiumThe room was not clean and repairs are needed. The breakfast was a bit too basic and not to my liking. No fresh produce, just the cooked eggs.
