Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandStayed with as a family with small kids. Kids found a woman's bra and a used condom underneath a sofa bed. Were promised a written confirmation on full refund. Two days later still waiting for the email. Staff keeps telling it's on the way. Traumatizing experience, can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

GermanyIt should not advertise that there is private parking available when it's not. Arriving tired after a long ride and discovering that actually the private parking is full and it is not "available" as pretended, then having to roam across the central Liege to find another parking spot is totally not okay.
Clean, comfortable and silent. Reasonably friendly staff. Central location, close to the central train station.

PhilippinesThe staff was nice but it took us an hour to wait for our room. We arrived 30 min early and then they told us to wait since our room was not ready. Then we had to sit in the sofa close by. But we had to ask again after that. That was only then they started working for the room's availability. We had to wait another 30 min for that
I like that the location was close to the train station.

United KingdomLow roof height in parking was a challenge with car roof box, family room layout was tight and slightly awkward.
Served its purpose as a stopover, secure parking and close to town. Staff were very helpful sorting the parking and bar was nice and shaded. Breakfast was great and varied.

In good location close to the train station, shops and cafes, bars. Nice bar with outdoor seating area. Bedroom up to the usual IBIS standard

BelgiumThe double sliding doors at the entrance: I didn't see the second one, and walked into it as it was opening.
I liked the location (very close to the train station) and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. It was nice to have a cup of coffee before leaving in the morning.

United KingdomParking ceiling too low if you have a box on an SUV. Fine for estates with box. Limited local choice for dinner on a Sunday evening.
Two good adjoining rooms for older children and parents. Reasonably easy to access from motorway. Secure parking but extra daily charge. Modern, clean and interesting styling.

Germanybreakfast: you have to boil egg by yourself and wait there. The choice of food was pretty poor and not good quality. Service needed to be called from the kitchen to replace the milk from the coffee machine. Furthermore we asked to change the bed sheets at the reception but they didn't.

NetherlandsThe bathroom was stinky, no shower jell etc. Couldn’t park the car even it says that parking is available, but the availability is only the weekend so I had to pay for parking. Since you are not allowed to drive in, you have to leave the car at the main gate and carry your luggages to the hotel.

United KingdomOn arrival by car, you will pull up to a barrier. But you can't get through the barrier. You will then have to go and check in, while blocking other people getting in and out of the hotel which is stressful. The hotel car park is under ground next door. But you can get in till you have you key card. This makes arrival all rather frought and stressful. There is nowhere to easily park up on arrival. Breakfast was simple, but OK. However 16 euros seemed rather steep. Half that would be more appropriate.
Clean, functional well run hotel. Perfect for one or two night city break stay. Rooms have an interesting adult comic book theme which makes it a little more characterful than the average hotel. I was staying one night with a friend using it as a place to grab a few hours sleep having travelled from the UK to go to motor racing at Spa. Absolutely fine for this kind of trip. A couple of recent restaurants were available just over the road from the hotel.

BelgiumSecond bed (for 2) was small and not very comfortable. Room was for PRMs which we are not and hence the bathroom was empty of table, furniture, curtails, etc... As a result, there is nothing (at all) to drop your stuffs and the shower floods completely the room. Not exactly what we were expecting.
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was spacious, easy access and parking. Breakfast is ok but nothing exceptional
