How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I would just add a kettle to the rooms in order to have some tea or coffee.
excellent choice if you want to be near to the main sights of the city. next to public transportation too. Clean and comfortable room. Helpfull staff.

Some negatives 1 -The lift stopped when going back to my room - I was stuck in there for 5 minutes. 2 -The showers are dangerous. It is so tight in there that getting in and out is difficult. There is a step down from the shower and there is nothing to hold on to when getting out. I had a nasty slip which could have been much worse. Whilst I felt ok after the fall since arriving home I have tender injuries and bruises. If you are a larger or older person these will not be suitable
Overall my stay was positive. The hotel is clean and tidy with enough facilities and good staff. It was in a good location and we had no problems. Breakfast and bar was ok

The room was clean but it looked tired, it needs renovated and modernized (for example you could put usb ports on the sockets). The amenities were basic, there was no mini bar or fridge in the room.
The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities. The bed was quite big and comfortable. The tv has a good range of channels. The location is very good, right in the centre of Antwerp. The staff was also great and ready to help with a smile.

I’ve stayed in Ibis hotels before: they’re consistently well run hotels. clean, close in, modern, with helpful staff.

The staff is not fully aware of the area (I asked about a supermarket nearby, and they sent me for a 15 min walk, while another supermarket was just across the square). The bar in the lobby was never working on all three days that I was there.
The hotel is located 3 min away from a metro station with a direct connection to the central station. Typical IBIS, buffet breakfast (OK), the bed was comfy, and everything in the room was clean and working. AC was a bit noisy, but with earplugs at night, it's not a problem

The room it was too small, you barely have space to walk around. Bathroom same, very very small, the shower is very small. The hotel looking kinda old.
The bed it was really confortable, that I really liked.

Bathroom was small.
Great location in central Antwerp, bed was very comfy with extra pillows provided, staff were nice and let us check in early, plenty of towels, hairdryer. Very good for Ibis standards!

not much to say that i didnt like! the only problem i had was that the cleaning staff (as amazing as they were) had a tendency to ignore the Do Not Disturb sign, although might be lost in translation as we couldve put up the wrong sign.
room was relatively big for the price, something i didnt expect. Location was perfect and is close to the city centre plus other places of interest, it was very convienient as i stayed because of a tournament in the sports paleis

Secure bike parking was offered. But, seemed an after thought.
Great Budget hotel in city center. I’m traveling by bicycle so secure parking is important. Was afforded security by placing the bike in a locked office. Thank you!

The bathroom is very, very little specially when you are not "standart" size. For 1 night it's ok, but for longer it's hard
The bed is very comfortable, the personel was helpful, there but with not be too present (what I personally appreciate). The hotel is on calm with be close of transport.
