The bathroom doors close very slowly, and anyone with a key can unlock them from the outside.

Overall a good experience for one night stay in the 6-bed dormitory, and as usually quite a lot depends on your roommates and their understanding of sharing the room with strangers - using big lights at night, speaking with loud voice, clapping the doors etc. Additionally, it's an old and beautiful building with wooden floors and probably too thin walls - so sound isolation is an big issue, be ready to hear everything and everyone. Some small things in the room that can be improved, IMHO: * Really small lockers, so probably no one used it and all the luggage was stored around the beds, the room was pretty small for 6 persons, so the whole picture was a mess. * Placing of sockets - the "second floor" / bunk bed guests almost do not have any chance to charge their stuff, if needed. * The cleanness of our room wishes to be better - bunk beds were covered by very thick dust. * The beds were shaky and made a lot of noise. Curtains on the beds would be a nice compliment for general privacy and comfort, but probably not for this bunk bed models.

Great location, nice vibe in the common room, cute design, the lady working at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful from arrival and until check-out - thank you a lot for this warm and kind welcome! Delicious breakfast (I did not expected such a variety for the 5€, that was amazing). The kitchen is spacious and has everything needed, in case someone wish to cook by themself. Stable wifi.

The big issue, is that everything is wood, walls, floor, stairs, doors. And you hear every little movement from everybody. The bathroom doors crash with a boom when they close alone. A damper must be installed. People cheking-in late will awake everybody in the floor, people leaving early, the same. You can hear people from the room across the corridor! BTW, you must make your own bed, and there's no elevator.

The hostel is not corporative, has nice drawings everywhere. Beds are good, they heard the critics and changed to solid metal frames. Shower is good. Kitchen was good, with a nice coffee machine. Location is outside the center but not bad.

A bite far from the Gent sint Pieters station aeound 40 mins but walking from there to here is not that bad I can look around the city while walk pass through each street it's a good experience even I travel alone and as a woman not that scary to walk at night

The room was very basic - you have to put the sheets by yourself and give them back on check out; the sockets weren't placed well and you can't charge your electronic devices near you; towels cost extra.

It is a really good hostel, easy to reach and within a walking distance to the centre and the most popular attractions of the city. The bus station is really close by, some 10 minutes walk while the train station is a bit far but I guess it will be quick by taxi or tram. Everything was clean, I liked the room's bathroom, good shower. It's clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable. The 5€ breakfast is good. The guy at the reception is really helpful and polite!
