The room gets too hot and if you open the windows the mosquitos come in. There was a fan and it was broken. It would be nice if the beds had a curtain for privacy.

the practical side of things were not the best; in the bedrooms it was only a small locker for things, and not the best organized way to keep everything else, so people’s things were flotting a bit around. every movement of the person in the top bunk made the whole bed shake. we also had to choose between open windows and air through the night or curtains down to keep the sunlight out in the morning. these things are not to bad when you’re sleeping at a cheap hostel though, but the smell in the shower room was really not good, so that didnt feel to hygienic.

its a great deal for what you have to pay! they have really tried to make this into a cozy hostel, with some success! easy to hang around to get to know people there, in a calm part of the city, but walking distance to everything! the bedrooms were all right, not to crowded there or in the bathrooms. the kitchen was well fit for cooking, and they had a great system for using what people leave of food. check in was smooth!

Didn't think the breakfast was worth paying €4. We had a better complimentary breakfast at our other hostel.

The room was clean and there were some toiletries provided. The staff was friendly. A 10 minute walk to get to the city center.

I only didn't like that the beds were shaking and making noise even if I move a little bit during my sleep. Other than that, it's a great hostel.

The outdated sign on the front door ( always kept shut) giving "cCovid" reduced reception hours. I arrived earlier than official check in time - on a Sunday, believed the sign and wandered around for two hours until returning. The door was locked still - but reception was open and responded to the bell. Had the sign not confused matters I'd have been settled in 2 hrs earlier !!

it's described as "cosy" it's certainly not one of the mega commercial backpacker hostels. Given its size it's understandable it doesn't have a bar - but that didn't stop the world turning. Loved it. Felt like the sort of travellers hostel I remember -;but not on an old fashioned or dated way. Just in atmosphere. (@64 I'm not the youngest traveller - but it's place like this that keep you travelling and keep you feeling young

Everything was fine. Cost is a little higher than usual in hostels, but this may also be the baseline in Belgium. Location and facilities were very good though.

Breakfast was great for only 4€. Very nice that the kitchen was open to use, and that eggs were provided, as well as toast, jam, butter, and so forth. The facilities were also great in the hostel.

staff was awesome, and it was very quiet. beds are fantastic and you get your own shower for the room. situated very well. restaurants near by, awesome traditional bar like a minute away, and if you take a bike you can get to all the main spots in less than 10 min. highly recommended even though the pics give midsummer vibes.
