My only niggle was that breakfast was 11 euros a day. If you have no dietary requirements then there is lots to eat from pancakes, pastries, cakes, meat, cheeses, eggs, cereals, Yoghurt, fruit, hummus, fruit, tea/coffee etc. As vegans, we sadly were very limited. We had jam on toast with no butter and a bowl of oatmeal with raisins and almond milk. (This was the only cereal out of 4 or 5 we could eat). We also had some fruit. Just felt for the money we paid we didn't get our moneys worth for the breakfast but the food for everyone else looked very lovely and plenty of choice. Maybe having a vegan butter or Yoghurt alternative would be very helpful if vegan pastries are not an option.

There is nothing to dislike about this place! It was very clean and spacious, the communal lounge/sitting areas were very relaxed with good music playing in the background. There were different activities and things on each night like 2 for 1 cocktails, bingo, movies and pizza nights. We had a double room with private bathroom and it was all spotlessly clean. The room did not have a fridge or kettle but there was lots of tea and coffee downstairs if you paid for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room very warm with blackout curtains. Slept very well with no noise from our guests or parties or anything. The hotel is in a great location for exploring and is a few mins walk to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, metros and more. WiFi was strong and could be used around the building. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Location is very good. Hostel pretty great, everything was fine. I highly recommend, the only thing I didn't love, this might be personal, I don't like the toilet is inside the bedroom, thin doors. Id rather bathroom outside the dorms.

I wish there were communal toilets/showers in addition to the shared ones in the dorms for when you want to shower early/late and not disturb other dormmates.

The location is superb! The dorm beds are quite large and very comfortable with two usb ports, a plug and privacy curtains. The staff were friendly and it was free and easy to leave my bags there after check-out. There were also a few different tours and activities available. Overall, it was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

Just 2 minor things : 1) The heating during our stay must have been set at "boiling" (in the whole hotel) and there was no way to reduce this in our room. I´m sure a couple of degrees less would be more comfortable and also save the hotel some money! 2) After 2 days there nobody had been to clean our room or change towels etc. When we asked at Reception they apologised and gave us what we needed, but we still didn´t see anybody from Housekeeping in the room the remaining 2 days of our holiday. Not sure if it was on purpose or just a mistake.

Part hotel and part hostel, this is in a great location on a busy boulevard close to the Grand Place, bars, restaurants etc. Our room was compact but modern and comfortable with everything we needed for a few days stay over the New Year.

I stayed in a shared dormitory at this hostel for one night until I met my friends who were coming to Brussels a day later. The staff was immensely nice and friendly, they could communicate very well in English and the explained everything in detail. The common area is welcoming and it serves as a great place to meet new people or hang out with people you’re travelling with. Rooms were clean, well organised and safe. I was very satisfied and will definitely stay at other LaTroupe hostels in the future.

super central location, very close to great eateries, the Grand Palace and a short walk to the museums and other sights in Brussels the room was super clean and comfy! the staff at reception were very helpful and allowed me to leave my bags there before and after checkout which helped a lot with the exploring

The heating was very high so it was a bit too warm for me. Absolutely everything else was great though.

It was clean, the staff were friendly helpful and efficient and the room was well appointed. Really comfortable beds. Would highly recommend!
