How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

we paid €10 each for a breakfast but all they had was toast, fruit and cereal. very overpriced for not many options

great location- 15min walk from the main train station! did most of the main attractions by foot! very new accommodations! loved everything- was one of the best hostel I stayed! they have shampoo & soap on the bathroom! (no towels- bring your own)

the toiletries ; but it was more a matter of preferences.
Superb location! walking distance to grand place and lots of good cafe nearby (open till midnight). Room was clean, comfy and tidy and great view as well! We came via subway costing around 12 euro for 3 pax from bruxelles- midi for one way trip but later discovered its actually cheaper & faster by uber / taxi ~ 8-10 euro. The front desk was exceptionally efficient and helpful. Check in and check out was no fuss. Spacious communal space with relaxed ambience that great for chilling, mingle around or even loss in ur personal bubbles.

Badly sound isolated room. window pointed inwards into the building and not outwards. Couldn’t open it.

I booked a 6-bed female room, but check in mixed room, the price is different, two man were noisy last night. hope there was a kitchen or fridge for guests. only one laundry and dry ,very expensive.
Clean every day with housekeeping service. The bed was comfortable ,big and had a private space. Good location, easy to go anywhere. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast many styles but every day is similar.

The breakfast choices could have been better.
The staff were really helpful and extremely professional. Helped us with travelling tips through out the entire stay.

Toilet and shower en-suite is awkward in a shared room, and one single toilet for a 6 person room is not enough, specially in the morning

the noise at night. there were a lot of students and young people staying in the adjacent rooms coming home from parties and drinking sessions. recipe for disaster. i wud not recommend this hotel for families with young children. it is also borderline with hostal type facilities. no bar, no food.

I stayed in the mix room for two nights, you have to bring earplug, and the toilet wasnt clean at all when I arrived.
Nice location, very close to main attractions. Greate staff and I love sitting at the lobby. Ok breakfast.

I loved the quick check-in and the gorgeous “new”/tall guy at the reception:) Also Bea was absolutely amazing in executing the check-in, and accommodating my special request! This place is in center of town and all kinds of secret small venues are just a block away. I was lucky to be there during Pride weekend and I enjoyed so many bars with music, dancing and drinking, just a couple of blocks from the hotel. Fabulous experience! Love, Dessita, Viajerita

Breakfast was very basic. It is the only thing I think they can improve but it makes you full so it is not a serious issue.
I loved everything in this hotel, the location the atmosphere the room. Everything was ok. We had a family room and my kids also enjoyed everything there

Open Sink, but no big deal.

I loved having a personal curtain for the bed, but they are super loud when you pull them close because it’s metal hangers on metal bar. But that’s super minor. It would sometimes get a bit stuffy. Even though they have an AC, you can’t control it, so it’s best to keep the window open - but warning the street noise can be loud. I loved that city experience but it’s not for everyone.
It was in such a good location! I went for a walk around the first night I got there and was immediately in the touristy area. It’s also right near a metro! It was very clean and I loved that the bathroom, sink, and shower were all separarte. I really appreciated having a curtain to enclose my bed. The large window made everything feel sunny and welcoming - and was a good view! And the lockers were spacious and easy to use. The staff was friendly but I didn’t really interact with them or the facilities very much - like I never did their breakfast just because I went to a local cafe 2 mins away. I also met the nicest girls ever in my room. it was so great and just the perfect hostel experience.
