Great location and a very pleasant stay. Very traditional hotel, not for those with challenging mobility (tall narrow staircases and many floors!) that said, perfect for my needs.

It's terribly tired - the bed had seen better days, as had most of the furniture, the sheets were clean but were a dull grey instead of a crisp white, the towels similar. The room was small & cramped. There's not much soundproofing. The staircase is steep, narrow and difficult to walk up with luggage. Breakfast was basic.

It is conveniently located & it is cleanish.

It took a while till the water gets hot in the shower but when it got it was perfect. The mattress deserves an overhaul but it was ok.

It is quite fair according to the info. There is a shower and a sink inside the room but the toilet is shared. There was no one at the check in, howerver they sent a message with a code to open the door and all the info so it was perfect. Breakfast was good. The building is old but very stylish. You feel like you are back in the past without losing so much comfort. I would come back.

A delightful stay in a lovely, old worldly hotel, felt like we had gone back 50 years, don't expect modern furnishings which would spoil the ambience. The dated room and ensuite worked well for us for our 3 night stay. We were very pleasantly surprised with the delicious breakfast array. If wifi is essential to you, be aware the free wifi is rather patchy. It is an easy stroll to the local eateries and castle. Off street parking was a bonus.

As per other reviews the decor is dark and dated. The room had wood panelling to the walls or where there was no panelling it was painted a dark green colour. The floors were very creaky and it was possible to hear other people locking and unlocking their rooms. BEWARE - the owner does want payment in cash on arrival so come prepared.

Great location with parking right in the centre of town. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Booked a double room but I had a room with a double and single bed. I booked the room with the private bathroom and I'm glad I did as I saw the shared bathroom further along the corridor and could only see a toilet and sink, no shower. My private bathroom was clean but very outdated in a lime colour. OK shower. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a selection of breads, cheese, meats, cereal, juice, coffee and eggs available to cook.

Bathroom. At first I did not realize bathrooms are shared. So I then asked to be upgraded to a room with its own bathroom. Doable but only just. One forgets whatr life was like before we got used to the modern luxuries, Still I am glad I went and may go again.

Lovely hotel right by the center of town! Room was a bit dark and everything was a bit dated, but it fitted really nice with the location and felt old-fashioned in a cozy way. Our toilet was not in the room but on the hallway, but clean and it was never a problem. The staff was absolutely lovely and gave us a warm greeting whenever we walked by! Really nice and cozy breakfast as well, with continental options on the table.

The place was cozy, comfortable and the host is very friendly and helpful. The place is just outside the center, which is easy to reach. The room was pleasant and clean, with a very good bed.

Narrow stairs not suitable for elderly or obese people or those with a suitcase.

We upgraded to the ensuite room as we had booked share bathroom by mistake. Easily done if you don't look carefully. Hotel decor is well worn and rooms are compact although the ensuite was quite spacious. Very nice breakfast. Location near river on edge of town. No hills to climb.
