How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The cleaning lady barged in on us while we were still in our room on the last day before 11h00, the supposed check-out hour.
The location was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Way too much noise coming from the street and not only in the weekend that make very hard to sleep
location: you are in the city center and close to most of the main attractions (5 minutes walk to the main square) Rooms are big and the bathroom is nice and the shower is big and comfortable

Checking in the property is complicated, key card did not open the door, so have to go back to reception. No chair as in just the bed inside the room

Walls are very thin and you can hear everyone in the adjoining rooms and in the halls. Bring earplugs. Beds were also only semi comfortable.

Price per night bounced a bit after my first two nights. One messy room mate, who should have been moved on earlier.
Great location and friendly staff. Rooms and facilities are clean.

I was traveling alone and its there is not a good place to meet people in hostel. its not bad just count with that. there is one common room for breakfast I think but its usually empty and kind of hidden.
the location is great its right in he city center. I was glad I had hairdryer in my room.

In a noisey, busy part of the city. No communal area to chill and meet other travellers.
The hostel was clean, As was the bed. Staff were helpful. Close to brussels central.

there is no equipment in the room, I asked for boil water but they said we dont have any kitchen. Also the loud noise inside room because of the center even after 12:00

room was sutffy, window could not be open so we had a hard time dealing with the heat. staff was apologetic and very sincere, so we weren't too angry but it was uncomfortable.
staff was pleasant and friendly, allowed us to store our luggage for free even though there was supposed to be a cost

Be careful if using the elevator, I got stuck in it twice then started using the stairs every time as was too scared to use the lift again. Due to the location being in the centre it is very loud at night but if you close the windows it gets very hot.
The room and bathroom were nice. The location was good and right in the centre. The man who works in the afternoon was extremely kind, helpful and had great customer service.

Room is too small and some basic facilities should be provided like toiletries, and bed allotment should be checked properly, I was allocated a different bed than the number on my key and had to shift next day.

One women snore like crazy In my room then the receptionist helped me change the room n the check out time is 10am too early
It is located in the city center, really good. Can get to all the famous attractions in 10 mins walking

It will be loud overnight, so if you're a light sleeper, pack some ear plugs. This is especially true if you stay in the summer because you'll need to open windows for some air. It is extremely hot in the rooms, there is no air-conditioning and one tiny fan for the whole room - this was not helpful at all!! Very hard to sleep due to temperature in room. Mattress comfort was OK considering this is budget accommodation. They also do not include body wash/shampoo and conditioner as per description on Booking.com, however towel was included.
Convenient location if you want something in the centre. Bathroom was inside room and clean, shared between 4 people.

Location is great, check-in was super fast and the staff was nice! If you are looking for a place just to sleep in, this is great. In the room you'll find nothing more than the beds.

For the price i would've liked to have better cooling/aircon/better fan. The small desk fan was way to small and did not even have a location to put the fan. It was so hot in the room!

Since the hotel is very much centric, there is noise 24/7 and the room we got only had 1 window for 4 people, so we had to keep it open to keep it cool. That did not bring us much sleep...
The location was fantastic! Everything was walkable by 5min or less, so that was great. The shower was clean, the sheets too, reception was nice, the luggage room was safe, etc.

The room it was so warm. Uncomfortable bed. There wasn't electrical outlet close the bed. Reception staff weren't courteous.
The room and bathroom were very clean. Excellent location.
