How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower backed up and flooded bathroom. Changed rooms next day no problem.
Connected directly to Brussels trains and metro rails. Many shops and eateries in train terminal.

This was the last night of my holiday so i treated myself to the most expensive room of my trip. I was expecting a bit of luxury but it was very standard for a large hotel. Some of the furniture in my room was scuffed. The room wasnt as big as I had expected. The surrounding area feels quite run down.
It was clean and a comfortable bed. You're paying for the location as the hotel is part of the train station.

A beautiful, average hotel in Brussels, directly above the train station. Very nice staff, especially Abdul. Thank you for the hospitality. I advise everyone who loves speed, serious work and comfort to stay in this hotel.

The hotel needs significant improvement in service standards. The staff are uncooperative, with no response to room calls. The reception is always busy, answering phone calls and ignoring guests standing at the front desk. Room service is poor; we requested a bathrobe and were denied, as they said it's only available for luxury rooms! When we asked for an extra water bottle, they said we're only entitled to two bottles per day. We were told luggage trollies were available, but none were sent when requested, we had to carry four bags from the eighth floor to reception without assistance. We requested an extra half-hour for check-out, and the receptionist agreed with a strained expression. However, less than 10 minutes later, another receptionist called, rudely informing us that we were late for check-out.

Our first room had noodle on the floor, refrigerator didn't work and worst of all there is no window to open en the airco didn't work. Also the person, who checked us in had a thick French accent talks quickly. I had to repeat his sentences to make sure I followed him. He wasn't friendly either with greeting on other days. In the second room, we received a new room to stay, there were no free toiletries, not a seperate air-conditioning unit, a bed that is large > 2 m. No slippers, no airpurifier... All were mentioned, when we booked through Booking.com. No fresh air in the room, not great when you have hayfever or allergies. The bedsheet keeps in warmth, but doesn't release it when it is too warm. Nice to have two pillows.
Abdul from the reception, very friendly and helpful. Helped us with storing our luggage, greeted us on other mornings and also helped us on the last day with checkout, retrieving our deposit back. Also he speaks very well English, French and tries Vlaams/Dutch. The breakfast buffet was nice, the staff were kind and also very helpfull.

Staff was very helpful storing our luggage at beginning and end of our stay. Staff was helpful helping us work hvac controls to properly cool down room. Convenience to train station made this excellent choice for us.

The room was too warm and stuffy, the air conditioning was ineffective. There was no possibility of opening a window. The station, the hotel and the shopping centre is very clean and modern but the area around the station, especially on the walking route to the city centre smells like a public urinal and does not feel safe.
The room was very clean, and well furnished it could be very comfortable.. It is located next to the railway station, it should be a good place for an overnight stay between railway journeys.

The location is very convenient as it is just inside the train station (Bruxelles MIDI). The property is new decoration with a modern style and the staff here are very welcome and friendly.

The room was so hot inside that we avoided staying in it as much as possible. There was zero air flow, no fan or A/C and was the most uncomfortable I have been sleeping outside of camping. The surrounding neighborhood is absolutely awful and not safe for travelers.
The hotel was super clean and extremely convenient to the train station.
