How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Pros: - Can rent bikes to access the city easily - Beds have curtains - Best shower I’ve had in a hostel. You get your own cubicle with hooks, seat, shelves, and with hot powerful water. - Communal area was awesome & staff were really friendly Cons: - Bed had dirty laundry on it on arrival - Rooms aren’t connected to the reception area, they’re dispersed up the street - Hidden €4 city tax you have to pay on arrival - WiFi kept cutting out & you have to keep reconnecting to it - No shelf next to the bed and very dark in the room

Storage of luggage is 3€ for 6 hours, i needed to store my backpack before check-in and also after check-out, then the price of staying is 6€ extra and if you do lowcost travel, this is not what you expect in hostel 🥲
The hostel was okey and clean, the reception was really nice.

On my second day on the floor above me someone was moving stuff like for an hour, very early not even at 6am. So, the noise and feeling things were moved from one side to another woke me up and I couldn't rest properly.
I liked the breakfast tipo bufet and the bar next to the hostel.

Lack of kitchen, specially a fridge. Also, the bathroom is not divided for men and women, which could lead to some problems, potentially.
Very kind and solicitous staff, great bar, comfy beds with proper roomspace for everybody. The drinks are nice and the organized tours are a plus!

Noise echoes pretty bad. Also have to pay to store luggage
It’s a basic hostel so don’t go into it expecting anything fancy. The walls are pretty thin so be a heavy sleeper or bring headphones. The first lot of bathrooms we used were below average but the ones closer to the entry are a lot better.

Communal areas in accommodation area a bit run down but clean. Our balcony had ciggarette butts and pooled water No clear fire escape info in rooms
Wonderful atmosphere and excellent staff. Bikes available from hostel Reception is the hub and heart of this little hostel. Best bar.

Don't think the breakfast is worth it, it's nice, but I don't think worth 7-8 euros. Was a bit cold at night. Noisy, right next to the bar where people were loud late into the night.
Great customer service, people were nice. Wifi worked well, had plugs to charge phone and the screen on the bed was great to block lights.

The rooms are right next to the hostel's bar, so when people get noisy it's hard to sleep

No kitchen was a bit of downside and having to pay to store luggage before and after check in did mean it did have added costs especially having to use them to store my stuff when changing rooms to extend a stay. Although it did mean the stuff was secure.
Great little hostel, Was a bar downstairs well stocked with Belgium beers but didn't really make the rooms noisy. Very social too and meet some great travel companions and staff where extremely helpful. You do not have to be a partier and drink for it to be social either and would as a solo traveler would 100% recommend.

the stairs to my room
Room was comfortable and spacious, the bar was really cosy and friendly and we missed breakfast but I saw it looked great. It was so comfortable to live in the place and the cosy bar is right under your feet. I had some fun that night ended in a good sleep. close to the city attractions as well.
