Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsI did not like the fact that there is no reception or customer service at all. Breakfast is totally not worth it.
I liked the fact that they had a pool and spa area and the room was quite big compared to a regular hotel room.

United KingdomReceptionist was a little 'cold' and not very welcoming. Spa cost far too high so didn't use it. Breakfast expensive but nicely presented. Car park extra too was a surprise.
Room was very good.

NetherlandsI searched for a hotel with a charging station for my electric car. Wu Wei claims to have one on the website, but unfortunately they don’t. I had to check out and search for another hotel room.
The room looked really nice! Staff was friendly!

GermanyI only stayed for 1 night without breakfast. Did not use and see more than Parking space and hotel room. Arrived in the evening and left very early. Water Boiler with tea and coffee and a table with chairs was perfect for me, as I had brought my own food. Only the hotel was a bit difficult to find (at least in the dark), as the hotel could not be seen, only a small road with a sign leading to the Parking space.

NorwayThis hotel looks much better online than it is in reality. The rooms are very run-down: see image from the sink in my room. Definitely not 4 stars standard! The rooms are cold too and you cannot regulate the heating as it is central on the walls. The receptionist may reluctantly give you extra blanket. If you want to work, there is no comfortable seating unless you want to sit in the restaurant area. Breakfast: You wait ten minutes and then get a tray with bread, ham and cheese. You can select one of three beverages to accompany it. They do not accommodate dietary needs unless you tell them. As a vegan, you get an apple and a small yoghurt. Spa: Wear shoes as the floors are very much like outdoor floors. This may have looked fine when it was built but in 2025, the place is dirty at the level of the photos from the bathroom.

NetherlandsRoad works, I was not informed (did turn around for 35 minutes). No staf available in hotel, dirty entree, very dirty rooms, let’s not talk about the bathroom. Breakfast was not noted well, so they prepared something on the spot. Also paying for parking a car? Crazy place. No go.

United KingdomOnly saw staff on check in, rest of time reception empty and wide open. Bar and restaurant closed, 10 Euros to park the car (once you found the place - bad signage), breakfast extortionate and you had to select your options the night before ( I declined), rooms really warm with no air con, next to railway line but on the wrong side of the tracks!
Decent sized rooms, nice architectural design, reception staff very pleasant

GermanyThe concept of wu wei apparently refers to the service and maintenance of the property. Pool use costs 20€ extra per hour, which I never experienced in a 4-star-hotel. Amenities like Conditioner and Lotion cost extra, the safe was out of service and unfortunately there was no AC. The room was boiling hot in summer, the windows could only be opened after climbing on a chair and there were no mosquito nets aka unwanted visitors at night. Sleeping with closed windows was not an option because of the missing ventilation system or AC. The train rails are very close with loud traffic until 1am.
I love the spacious room and the minimalist approach

NetherlandsNo bath as promised on Booking and paid for, just a shower. Expensive parking, No free use of swimmingpool and sauna which, as we and our friends read online is included and the thing you pay quite extra for compared to other hotels. Facilities were not started up also even if we would have paid for them. Breakfast is youghurt with Granola, 3 different chunks of brown bread which falls apart when looking at it and for sure dry. 1 slice of ham, 1 pc of some kind of cheese, and small pot of chocopasta. Enough but far from the € 19 asked for. We decided not to have dinner there. Room spacious but very dated. Huge faded poster of probably Iceland where the TV was supposed to be and a small tv which can not be used when curtains are shut.
Parking (However it cost way to much). Friendly person in breakfastroom. Quitness. Booking askes to write more but honestly we do not know what.

NetherlandsThe entire stay was disappointing. We couldn't sleep well because there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. The absence of window screens allowed mosquitoes to feast on us. Additionally, breakfast was not only late but also of poor quality with limited choices. I wouldn't recommend this place.

United KingdomHad a nightmare trip. Firstly the room was not cleaned or turned down the first night. I left my belongings on the bed while going out for dinner, arrived back and there was a 'known leak' from the shower from the room above and arrived back to water pouring over the bed and belongings, and standing water on the floor. Was the moved to a small room (not a suite paid for) for the remaining 2 nights, when shown into the other room it had not been tidied either from past occupants, so had to wait 40mins while they just changed the sheets and that was it. Was the night before a race I was competing at so all of my compitition gear was wet and then a late night changing rooms with the delay was not good enough. No apology and only offered to waive breakfast charges for 2 nights even with the room downgrade and stress of the water burst. This is not good enough.
I booked a suite room, which was a lovely room and the most comfortable bed. Very clean and modern rooms, lovely bathrooms.

ItalyThe bed was too soft for my preference and didn't provide enough support for my back. Additionally, I found the breakfast and dinner prices to be on the expensive side.
The room was spacious and quiet, complete with a relaxing bath tub. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The hotel's design added a nice touch to the overall experience.

not worth the money they charge. open bathroom & toilet. in the name of modernity and contemporary design it looks like a run down place. not classy at all.

LuxembourgFirst night their lift did not function on our return, so we had to user a small steep staircase - I'm no longer firm using those, but on ascending the stairs I almost didn't make it, plus there were more to negociate after we got to the 1st floor, also steep, only the rickety one had a handrail. The bed was comfy but almost impossible to rise from unless perched on the very thin edge. The other facilities, breakfast room, bar and restaurant were only available with some steep steps, and never seemingly open. This claimed to be a 4 star hotel, I wonder how. The facilitiy in the room was a kettle, one spoon, 2 cups with 2 teabags no coffee to speak of(day #1 there was half a teaspoon of instant in a reused small jam pot, with some coffee creamers. I had a drink looking like coffee then, but coloured water was the flavour. The buildings could have a lot better maintained, as all was old and needed proper maintenance by builders, the finish on the room was a "modern" cement finish, not my like, the room was amply sized, the only thing going for it. The bathroom was off to the side, and had a large bath with a seperate wet floor shower(good). In all the furnishings were limited with 2 old chairs, a large old coat stand and 2 footstools for bedside tables. they could do better.
A strange place, Our room was at the front of a house overlooking a busy junction with no access to it - would have been nice as we needed to go to a function 400m further out of town, but had to use the back/main exit and a cycle path instead. The location was the primary reason for booking there. It was also around a 10 minute walk, gain along the cycle path to the main station platform concourse. It was at least clean. As for the SPA, nothing was mentioned.
