Honestly, this place looks better on the pictures, it's not well maintained. The bathroom is small and cramped, in the winter may be cold (the window must be open due to high humidity). It's hard to warm up the room with air condition.

Its location was great, about 10 min by foot from Serdika metro station (+mosque, synagogue, Zhenski Pazar in a walkable distance), contact with property was pretty good.

Everything, the owner is very polite and the uncle at reception is funny 😆 they let us store bags after we checked out as well.

Unfortunately the pictures look a lot nicer than the place actually does, and I saw that the property used to have an 8.0 rating and now it's 7.1, so I understand that it's on the decline. In terms of facilities it was OK, although for me (as a woman) it would have been nice to have a mirror in the room, a hairdryer available to use either communally or in the room and a bedside lamp. The shower is at least hot and the pressure was fine. The bedding seemed clean although I didn't want to investigate too closely, the towels however, although looked clean, were totally threadbare and definitely need to be replaced. The room wasn't very clean and there were some cockroaches running around. The bathroom is a bit of a disaster - I understand that it's common in this area/country to have the shower over the toilet, but it was very dank, the tiles on the floor weren't pleasant to stand on (didn't seem very clean) and there is a very damp/mouldy kind of smell - the situation is not helped by the bin (in which you are supposed to put the toilet paper - again this is normal) but it should be a different style of bin, not one that doesn't really close properly. Hygiene is very important to me, so it was unfortunately the biggest drawback.

Good communication with the property via WhatsApp and we were able to leave our bags while we went into the city because we arrived VERY early in the am. We were also able to check in from 12pm. The location is fine and wasn't noisy, there are plenty of shops nearby as well as the metro in close proximity. The bed was OK - I slept very well (I was also very tired) but my partner wasn't as comfortable. The room was quite cold but the duvet was thick so in the end it was just right for sleeping - and there was an air-conditioning unit which could possibly be used to heat up the room (I didn't try).

The wifi router (annex building)is old and starting to die. It hangs sometimes, but the internet is otherwise good. It's an easy fix and will likely be remedied soon.

I stayed here twice and for a little extra I got a nicer room. The beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Bathroom is clean. The location and price are excellent.

I was staying in one of the cheaper rooms and it's an old building, but still excellent for such a low budget room.

The staff are friendly and helpful. I found the bed comfortable and the AC sufficient. I had everything I needed. It was quite clean.

The air conditioning wasn't working.

It was my second time at this hostel. I love this place. It close to metro and the city center. It is always clean and comfortable. It has a decent toilet and kitchen.

No minuses for me :)

A lot of space in room, and in apartament in general. Place is clean and well prepare for guests: room, kitchen, bathroom, guest and dinner room. Service is very helpfull. Location is very close to the center if not basicaly in. Public communication stops nearby (tram, bus, about 5 minutes to subway). Peace and quiet at night.
