The location is unbeatable, the staff are truly wonderful, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean and stylishly minimalistic. Having bikes available for guests to rent as well as beach service are also a treat.

The rooms are a bit small and somewhat basic. It doesn’t really match the nice design of the restaurant and lobby. We had a room on the second floor on this city side opposite the lifts; it was quite noisy at night.

At first we got assigned a very tiny room but we were able to change and get a slightly but better cut room.

The staff was amazing. We were so happy to meet Marcus and Paulo the bellboy who went beyond their role. Especially Marcus was a lovely person who really clicked with us a lot. Super friendly and great tips. Loved the breakfast food and the beach.

The smallest rooms are a bit compact, particularly for two people.

I have nothing but praise for this hotel and the staff working there. I’ve stayed several times and always love my time. The hotel environment is beautifully designed and well-maintained, as are the rooms; the location is outstanding (the top floor terrace view is 👌🏼); the staff always warm, friendly and kind; and breakfast is delicious.

As the hotel is only six floors and the beachfront only accommodates the few more pricy rooms, it was to be expected that the cheaper rooms would not have the same view. I was disappointed that the less pricy tiny rooms had no view at all, or better said, just a view of the wall of the building next door and lots of barbed wire. But as we weren't there to be in our rooms, it was a small price to pay to enjoy this fantastic place's other amenities.

There is no place in Rio with a better location. In the quietness of Arpoardor, you almost feel like you are in an oasis inside of Rio. A Wabi-sabi monument to how the simplest of things are the best. The food is also well thought through, and I've heard that the choice of small local producers also reflects the whole philosophy of Arpoador. You can either eat breakfast almost on the sand or enjoy their terrace's quietness and fantastic view. And the breakfast, WOW! We were daily surprised by the extra peaks you get as a guest, such as being able to borrow bikes, take Yoga classes on the terrace, and even use the terrace after check-out. And the staff went constantly to make us happy (an extra shout out for the fantastic hospitality service of Douglas, Paulo & Ari). And don't mix their caipirinhas, that are also served at the beach!

Room was slightly small, however very clean, modern and well laid out.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, perfect beachfront location with the restaurant spilling onto the promenade, supporting beautiful dining essentially on the beach. The surrounding area also seemed quite appealing if you were visiting Rio and wanting to shop on foot.

Superb! I fell in love with this hotel from the very first sight. A fantastic location with dramatic views from the rooftop, great interior design and fine cuisine. The stuff is professional and helpful. I stayed in the smallest room facing a wall, but I was still very happy with it — the room was very clean and cozy, the mattress was comfy, there was a great selection of pillows. I also enjoyed the sauna, the bike rental and the beach service. I will definitely come back!

Nothing really!

Location is everything. Hotel beach service is lovely. The breakfast is excellent. Bar drinks are great. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing, and the hotel design is modern and minimalist. Overall, super nice service and very comfortable rooms. Would and will certainly stay again when back in Rio.

There was only 1 lift working our entire stay. We had to wait for breakfast. Gym is very small.
