The hotel is a bit small but a good place for the first night in Rio. Directly located at the Ipanema beach, you get a good first impression of Rio. The food is ok. Best of the hotel is the staff, and they well compensate for the lack in other categories.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped with anything we asked. The food options are awesome. The location of the terrace allows for great sunset views and the proximity to the beach is unique as there is not even a road seperation. I would definitely go back here and recommend it.

I loved everything, specially the amazing caring staff at reception/cleaning services. The location is top notch and I felt safe in the area at all times (even at night). Not sure why but the police seem to be on this street 24/7. Breakfast was awesome and I appreciate the vegan option. The view from the little terrace is amazing and I loved my drinks at the pool.

My experience at hotel Arpoador was one of my best experiences at a hotel ever. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful the moment I walked into the property. Keila, Thiago, Bruno, Axel, thank you for making my short stay amazing. The location is definitely the best too. It's one of the only places that is directly on the beach . I will definitely be going back.

My Room, it was small & facing inside, no view:( I was there for 4 nights and was told I would get a room with a view on a higher floor which didn't happen after waiting most of the day. Really upsetting.

I would highlight only two things that really made the difference for us, 1/ the location is really amazing and the yoga from the rooftop with the view on Ipanema beach was one of kind experience, 2/ the kindness of the staff, always here to help and make recommendations and special highlight to Gabriel. The room was not spot clean. I found some hair strands on the floor, duvet cover, shower area and room curtain. The sheet was also stained.

The location is unbeatable. The food and ambience were also highlights.

I only think the price against what is provided is kind of expensive. There are other options whose provide too much and with great experience those have the same price. But it did not avoid me to stay there because I loved!
