It was on the perfect location. It is a hostel, but after staying in many of them, it is definetely among the better ones. Beds were clean, staff was friendly, the beach is at your doorstep and the kitchen with the view is just amazing

Person who checked me in was not talking anything which came up kind of rude to me. Didn't speak any English either. Showers and toilets could be cleaner but I guess that's Brazilian standard

No breakfast. People would mess the floor outside shower stalls. Too many beds in one large room made for a noisy night (loud snoring, dragging of drawers underneath beds. Lack of privacy due to no curtains on beds. A/C convention at 24oC was low for me. People were allowed to cover window views by hanging clothing to dry on it. Unpleasant smell at reception. Need to improve first impression, as reception does not look pleasant.

Location was great beds were comfy room was huge but it was 20 person, so could be crazy if full. Cool common areas with views.

This seems like the kind of hostel that has a lot of regulars/longterm guests which means the atmosphere isn't great for backpackers. Also one night I came back at 2am and the door was locked and no one answered the bell, luckily I called my friend who woke up to alert the receptionist that I was outside.

Wifi was pretty much non-existent. If you're planning on getting some work done/using your computer, be prepared to rely on your own mobile data. Also, if you're in a top bunk, you won't have a socket your bed, which makes it impossible to lie down and use your phone while it charges and also meant I had to charge it before going to sleep. Also while I appreciate the wide lockers, the room's floor was chipped-away concrete, so pulling the lockers out from beneath the bed was super noisy, which sucks if you don't want to disturb others.

Great location! Friendly staff, good number of showers and toilets, ample kitchen area with several tables and a nice view towards the sea. I also appreciated the space to hang your clothes to dry - super helpful when you want to wash/dry clothes after going to the beach. Unrelated, but I also liked the gelato and tapioca spots right downstairs.

staff didn’t have loads of recommendations of how to get to other places in Bahía, eg. Morro do São Paulo. the WhatsApp number was useful though.

aircon in the dorms was great and the rooms were always clean. the kitchen/Terrace area was great. location is amazing - right across from the beach and a supermarket is close by. getting an Uber into Pelourinho is cheap.
