Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThere are not enough working fans for all the beds so I was kept up all night by mosquitos. Woke up covered in bites. DON'T stay here if you value your health or plan to sleep. Actually, just don't stay here. There are many much better places in Itacaré for the same price.

BrazilThere was music being played in the city each evening past midnight which was super loud in the room and prevented me from sleeping until it stopped. Also the place was hard to find at first.
The atmosphere was amazing even though I was the only guest at the time. Great location and wonderful staff. They helped me whenever I had questions.

AustraliaThe private triple share room that we stayed in had no windows, only 4 little holes in the wall to let in mosquitoes. The was no fresh air or air-conditioning, only a fan to blow around the hot air. The room is really small, we were only 2 people staying in the room, I'm not sure how three people would fit with their luggage/backpacks. The bathroom door doesn't close properly. They have put up a sign on the door saying "occupied" but even with this sign people open the door on you while you are on the toilet. So you either have to have someone watching the door for you or you risk someone opening the door while you are in there. The shower has no hot water.
The location is really good. Across from a beach (not sure you would swim there though) and around the corner from the main shops and restaurants area.
