How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I really like the hotel: clean, comfortable and perfect spot. BUT: I haven’t got the room I choose because of overbooking, and this is really not fair. A good hotel should NEVER downgrade guests without asking, this is bad.

To loud outside, a bit overpriced
The location is super convenient, its less then 10 minutes walk from Central Station. The room is pretty clean. The only thing - you should not open windows as it's too loud because of trains. Be ready to sleep with no oxygen. If you are ok with the AC - then you won't have an issue. Sauna has a great view and works till midnight. Pretty rear thing.

The room was too hot. Reception said that since March is considered to be winter, the temperature control in the room didn’t work and the heating was on by default. I opened the window but the street and trains were very noisy.
Funky hotel near Zurich HB station with a nice restaurant.

Not much. Believe it or not the price is good for Zurich - but it’s still double the price you would pay anywhere else in the EU which grates a bit.

Nice size rooms when you are travelling for a while, which was our main reason to choose this hotel and also for its vacinity to the train station. This was a lovely stay en route to the mountains to ski. (It was a little bit of a walk from the train station in rain if you are bringing a large 27kg ski bag, but totally doable being a flat walk!!) There are places to relax in downstairs and the hotel is pretty funky and fun to stay in. It was only one night so we got to explore Zurich easily from here.

Windows face railway station or busy road. Breakfast could be more diverse. No currency exchange in the hotel and close to the hotel.

The light in the toilet room stays on if you leave the door open And if you close the door the room gets stuffy Also the main room can use more light

Pricy but I guess this is Zurich.
Friendly staff, trendy design, very good location that is close to HB station connecting with a new high street with shops and bars.

Food is extremely expensive for what you get (even by Zurich standards). Breakfast is outrageously expensive. Some staff unhelpful.
Quirky design hotel. Very big, comfortable beds. Great location near station. Excellent sound proofing - no noise from trains or adjacent rooms. Good food in restaurant and bar. Rooms reasonably priced for Zurich.

We were pleasantly upgraded to a higher room level. We had a very quiet night in a very comfortable bed. The room inclusions were funky and we enjoyed the complimentary mini-bar items. Sad we were only there one night, but will stay again, hopefully longer on our next visit.

my room on the first floor was cold, heating didnt work. in the sauna there were 2 guys came with their beer bottles, so i couldnt benefit from the sauna which was my main purpose of staying at your hotel.
stuff at the restaurant and the breakfast as well as the reception were so kind and helpful.

No bedroom slippers and other toiletries.
Comfortable bed and comforter really provides comfort. Shower floor is not slippery and cold like other hotels in Europe. Room is really great size for Europe standards. Best hotel we have stayed during this European vacation. Love the artsy design of the room - industrial yet welcoming feel. Mini bar contents are free and water dispenser at the lobby.
