How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the pictures with our booking let us to believe there was a swimming pool in the hotel which there wasn’t, slightly disappointing. Also the staff was never to be seen at the terrace, twice we waited at the desk only to find the staff member using the sauna themselves.. WhatsApp service also left us on read and never replied.
good breakfast and the saunas and roof top were nice.

not a big deal, the door to the toilet swings into the shower. it works. just weird if you’re sharing with family.
it was close to Altestten train station. about 2 stops to main HB. the room was small but practical. floor to ceiling windows with automatic black out drapes. the sauna area was really relaxing and free. the staff at the bar were very friendly.

Just the location is bit far from the main town but very well connect by tram number 4 which has an excellent service even in the night... rest all is 5* standard.

it's a massive hotel with many tourist groups arriving and departing, no possibility to open window in the room, bathroom was literally flooding after showering. receptionist was not aware of parking costs outside hotel and instead offered overpriced hotel parking.
location is just few train stops away from the city center, breakfast was decent, not the best but still good.

1-It was far from the city center and attractions 2-The cleaning staff took my bedsheet unintentionally, and finally, they couldn't find mine even after several contact with responsible persons

-No room service. No minibar. -No line to the reception. if I needed anything had to go down to request them. -Not accepting Euros as a form of payment. -No restaurants nearby and everything shuts around 10, as does the hotel restaurant.
Convenient location. 1 min walk to Altstetten station which is a 3-4 min train to Zurich HB. Excellent facilities, there is a sauna and Jaccuzi which is is amazing. Was the highlight of my stay.

The room was too warm during the night. We set the temperature at the lowest possible, but had to ask for a separate fan to keep the temperature down. This was despite the fact that the weather outdoors was not warm.
Clean, light, spacious room. Good gym/training facility. Easy to reach by car and walk to pubic transportation. Good breakfast with good variety.

I wasn’t aware that they changed the policy to prepay rooms. And they were right it was written. but I have stayed here four times now and always pay so I would have liked the grace to pay on arrival.
I love wellness. Also the staff always work with me to get the right room. The upstairs neighbors were noisy this time so they moved me and I was very comfortable.

Somewhat far from the city centre (compared to another stay I had previously in Zurich) however since Zurich’s public transportation is good it’s pretty easy to find your way to where you want to be, only a few minutes walk to buses, trams, etc.
Clean and modern hotel and very spacious. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly and accommodating when I had to extend my stay more than one time.
