Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

GermanyThe stay was great. Quiet and relaxing in the rooms + hotel + roof top, but still super close to the city center. The breakfast was great (definitely worth booking!!) and the personal was so kind and helpful. We got a free upgrade and were allowed to park our car the whole day, although check out was at 12! We would definitely choose the Aja in Zürich again!!

SwitzerlandWe requested a parking space with charger for our electric car and had been promised to get it (we booked the hotel on the day of arrival and availability of charger was a prerequisite for us). We didn't get any parking space at all and have been told to look around on the street! When we asked, if there is a public garage with chargers available nearby they can advise, the personal at reception told us it's our problem. The clients are numerous, and they are unique... Needless to say the hotel located in the area under reconstruction and just in front of train rails. Crazy time, disgusting service.

At the time of check-in there was only one receptionist and she was checking guest in as well as selling items from mini market. I had mentioned three people in one room but there was only sleep 2 pillows and a quilt. one night had to manage without both as the when I complained to the receptionist he doesn’t want to help as he was the only one at the reception and there’s no house keeping or room service or any service. Air conditioning barely worked, I asked for iron never received one, the hotel instead placing the room together they placed them on different floors. Room was can be touched by just stretching your self. This seems like Booking.com puts people blindly in these hotels without even checking the hotel. When I called Booking.com your customer service agent started yelling at me and he was very unprofessional.

PhilippinesI stayed for about 1 week in this hotel and they did not refill the bathroom lotion. I inquired in case they simply forgot but I was told that's it for the entire stay. So I emphasised that I stayed for many days and naturally they have to refill the lotion. Good thing, the attendant from the bar near the sauna looked for an extra one and gave me. Perhaps people from the reception smile a bit for customers to feel a welcoming ambiance.
Breakfast is great - this one I look very much every morning. Location is good - a bit of walk from Altstetten station. Near city centre and few minutes away form Zurich HB and airport via train. Sauna is great - good for the skin and relaxation.

YemenAC is cold and it cannot be turned off unless you turn off the all the power of the room + I gave them my clothes for laundry and I kept following up and 14 hours later, I was told that they did nothing and that was a shock for me as I am traveling.

EthiopiaThe Hotel on it's advertisement picture looks like it's a high rise building and was expecting a higher room with a beautiful view, but the hotel is only upto the 4th floor, while the remaining floors are used for office use by other companies.
Starting from the receptionist Vanessa, she gave us all the information we needed and we were impressed by her ability to understand and facilitate our stay not only in the hotel but also in Zurich, by informing us on how we can find transportation to the centre of town, how much it costs, the schedules of the train, etc... The breakfast was a buffet where we paid the night before at the reception, inorder to get a discount. If not, the discount will no longer be there in the morning.

SwitzerlandThe room was not cleaned, and the bed etc was not made. In sharing this with the receptionist, the answer was that was customary to only do this every 2nd day. Apparently this is stated at check-in, which I didn't hear. Then she explained that it was good for environmental purposes, which I do not disagree with, but this mechanism should be stated when making the reservation for the room. I suspect potential clients would be sensitive to the environment part, and Aja would as such advertise it, which is not the case. And if, every alternate day no room maintenance/housekeeping is performed the room price should fluctuate accordingly for services not provided. In a nutshell, not acceptable to advertise a room and services, while not living up to expectation. I have stayed in a tremendous number of hotel during my professional life, but it is the first time I am confronted with this twisted approach.

United StatesThe reservation was made for a family, which they then split up rather than placing them next to each other. parking is hard to find, windows don’t open and the AC doesn’t work. They do not have a fridge in the room for use, do not give enough towels and do not clean the rooms daily.
