The bedroom was clean but let's say it needed a spring cleaning as there were a few spider webs. If people are noisy you can hear a bit through the walls. However, most of the people there are either hikers or cyclists and usually sleep early.

The bedroom was small but comfortable. The window had a nice vie on the back of the hotel and I could see some nature. I stayed one night while crossing from Switzerland to Italy by bike with my cat. There was a shed for the safe storage of the bike overnight and there were no problems with the cat. I also ate at the restaurant and it was a very enjoyable meal.

Comfortable place, an ideal stop off if cycling over the Gotthard pass. A nice breakfast buffet was included with our room.

The rooms are small, very small, if you are taller than 1.90m, you are likely to bump your head on the ceiling. From your movement, you can hear each and every movement in the corridor. Far from soundproof. The toilettes are shared and not sure how often they are cleaned but the smell was not giving a good sign.

We did arrive late because of journey. The were so keen to call how late the kitchen closed so that we could think about where to eat. The room was basic but comfortable.

The location is wonderful, right on the pass. You can do a brief hike (40 minutes) to a nearby lake - it's just a road so not _that_ special, but really worthwhile nevertheless - you know you are in the mountains! Cows with bells add to the Switzerland feel of it. The room is basic but that is what you'd expect from the information on the site. The restaurant is pretty good actually, and breakfast in the museum across the road was nice too.

Compared to the 4 star hotel we stayed the next day for the same money, the difference is rather large. The hotel was rather run down, the restaurant food was ok ,the rooms were fairly small and dated. But we still appreciated the opportunity to stay at the pass. Just in comparison it felt very overpriced.

The heating system worked as if it were winter outside. It is only possible to sleep with the windows open. Audibility is the biggest problem of this hotel. Until the last guest of the hotel falls asleep, you will not fall asleep either. U hear everything! One of the showers is not well ventilated. so there is a bad smell. At night the door to the hotel is closed and it is not clear how to get into the hotel. In the restaurant we didn’t have big experience, only ordered lentil soup and couldn’t eat it. We didn’t risk to have a dinner there.

Location is great. Food in the restaurant is great at dinner time. Breakfast given at restaurant next door is average. Room heating is good. Overall it's a good place as long as we know what we are going to get.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. The service in the restaurant was unfriendly, and the atmosphere was completely lacking. The heating in our room couldn't be turned off, leading to an uncomfortable night. We discovered mold in the shower, and in the evening, our room was lit up by an outside spotlight, making it difficult to sleep. The food was mediocre, but the wine was good. Overall, not recommended.

Stunning place ať gotthard place,breathtaking view, so many places for walk. For all nature lover and mountain recommended Beautiful lake view from the room. Big bed. Good breakfast with gotthard cheese and Ticino bread. Historical place of Switzerland.

We walked few hours under the rain and all our clothes were wet including shoes. Unfortunately there was no room to dry wet clothes. But the heating in the room was hot and we managed to dry everything at the end.

Very friendly personal. It's nicely located just in front of the museum. The breakfast was very nice.
