How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The front desk staff, especially Mark, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location and comfortable rooms. Also a nice breakfast.

None that I can think of.
The hotel is at walking distance to the main train station and places of interest. Close to shops and restaurants. We were able to check-in an hour early, which is always a bonus. The size of the room is enough for two two people. The room was kept clean. Breakfast is just fine with me, typical scrambled egg, bacon, croissant, orange juice and nice coffee. They have free coffee in the reception, which is a nice option to have as you come in the hotel.

Expensive parking. Room is very small . The bathroom door is deemed class with no sound prove. The room cleaning is not effective as they don’t change bed covers with daily room cleaning. You have to ask for it.
Super location in old town close to everything by walking. Excellent breakfast . The best thing is the staff. One of the best hotel team that you can find . They helped me in everything with excellent smiles and attitude. They have underground parking in other location on a walking distance using car lift mechanism. Free minibar in the room refrigerator.

Room was just a tad on the small size. It was not an issue for us since we were just there one day, but it might be tight if staying longer.
Excellent location in Old Town, good breakfast, well-appointed bathroom.

Not a major concern, however the breakfast options were limited. What was on offer was a decent quality. Suggest getting in early.
Great location in Old town area. Very easy access to Main train station and also to catch the tram to or from the airport. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and in reasonable condition.

The size of the room. Its noisy at night if you face the street.

No kettle in Room - had to go downstairs at reception to get coffee and hot water.
Location very central could walk every where. Staff very responsive to our needs and helpful. Breakfast was sufficient - includes hot & cold.

The surrounding area of the hotel can be noisy and dirty with garbages on the street and lot of smokes (from street smokers). These points are outside of the property’s control, however can negatively impact guests’ overall experiences.
The property is located close to Zurich main station and within 10 minutes walk. The room was modern and smartly designed. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby has free water and coffee for guests to use. Free water, soft drinks and beers were provided in the room mini bar.

The hotel location is good. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. The room was also good, although small. The contents of the fridge were free. Staff polite and helpful. Drinks are available free of charge at the reception. I recommend

The heater in the room did not work perhaps because there was a cold snap during spring.
Location and breakfast were good. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with car parking, bags and recommendations.

Could do with better lighting and more storage.
Great location. Short walk from the station. Trams 2 stops away if you don’t want to walk. Room was sufficient for my friend and I. Like the way they had the beds opposite each other. Probably done due to space but worked for us. Complimentary water, soft drink and beer provided for the first day, which was a really nice touch. Room and bathroom were clean. It was nice to return to the property after a day of sightseeing. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Ronya especially went out of her way to help us plan our train journey. Would stay there again. 😊
