Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesroom was noisy at night as we can hear the people hanging out and talking outside. man in charge of check in area -around 11pm on thursday, march 23 was so rude. while getting water in the lobby, i made the mistake of using 2 plastic cups instead of 1. he was so LOUD, almost screamed, when he said, "MADAME, WHY ARE YOU USING 2 CUPS? CUPS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE!" there were at least 4 other guests in the lobby - it was really embarrassing - no need to yell it out for a simple mistake. This experience alone will stop us from using this hotel again. I can overlook the noise outside as the hotel can not control that, but that man left a very very bad taste in our mouth. i hope he undergoes better training so as not to embarrass the hotel guests.
location is great and bed is very comfortable. breakfast is good.

Canadathe room was on a small side - just enough space for two people and two suitcases. I realize it’s rather norm in Europe, especially in the historical centres, so it’s more a note to people who prefer to have larger rooms.
Nice small hotel in the middle of Zurich Old Town; 5-10 minutes walk to all major points of interest. The staff on the reception - both Riña and Laura - were really great and helpful, answering our numerous questions, assisting with restaurants reservations… and making our short stay in Zurich feel like real holiday!

United StatesThe room faced the street and picks up quite a bit of noise from nightlife, so not super easy as a light sleeper.
Great location, really good breakfast, clean and welcoming room and bathroom. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

HungaryPlease consider that this is a 3 stars *** hotel and not a 4**** one. Rooms look nice and clean, but are really small, toilette is only 2 steps from the bed. Someone starts to work very loud in the 3.floor service room every morning at 7:00, so you will wake up every day at 7:00 o’clock. Location is great, but street-view rooms are quiet loud every friday and Saturday night (but thanks for the free earplugs!). Wi-Fi is weak, breakfast is correct, staff is kind.
Clean rooms, nice stuff, free coffee & tea, fruits and pastry available at the reception every day.

Francenothing really to complain .. price is Zürich standard. The room was a little noisy at times as it was on the first floor, street view on a weekend night so if you are a light sleeper it can be bothersome.. A little kettle en suite would have been a plus but hot drinks were available at the front desk , so no big deal
Very convenient if you are coming from Zurich railway station (few minutes walking distance ) Area allows for all the main attractions to be reached on foot, especially if you are on a first trip to Zurich The Checking in and out were a breeze. Very friendly staff, nice welcome and helpful lady at the breakfast room Nice shower, room is basic but has a comfortable bed. Clean and well maintained.

SingaporeBecause the Hotel is in an area where restaurants and drinking places are, it was rather noisy at night due to people drinking and talking aloud.
Location and great staff. Staffs Gian and Marc were very cheerful & helpful. Gian was helpful in telling us what we can do in Zurich. Marc was helpful to check and accede to my request for a double bed for the 2nd room. I would like to especially thank Gian who help us find out the nearest medical center we could go to on the late night of Dec 25th, 2022. Many thanks Gian(Jackie Chan).

RomaniaTo be honest, we felf it was pricey but compared to the other hotels in Zürich it was one of the cheapest that offered the most.
Stood here 3 nights. Nicely located, in an old part of the town, on a pedestrian street. It was clean and comfy. You could get as much fruits, tee, coffee and hot/cold bubbly or still water as you wanted, at any time. We recieved the contents of the mini bar for free- 2 beers, 3 bottles of water and a coca cola. But the best thing was the underground parking. The places are limited and you do need to book in advance. You take an elevator that is kinda narrow but our volvo xc 60 fit just perfect. You just can't get a more secure parking than this. It was 30chf/night which was decent considering that most of the other hotels didn't even have parking available. Oh and we also got free zoo entrance (which is 26chf normally and it is worth seeing) and free kunsthaus entrance (didn't have time to go), just ask the main desk they also had some other nice discount offers.
