Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

United StatesThey have a zero contact check in/ check out and provide info about your stay beforehand but in that info they mention they have a television with Netflix and such but to NOT enter your own account because they provide theirs; there was no access to Netflix. They have an apple tv and nothing is logged in or usable. They didn't provide any trash bags but we found some supplies in a closet by the front door and helped ourselves. There's nowhere to throw out trash either so we found ourselves taking the trash in our car to neighboring cities to dispose of everything. With 5 people, you tend to accumulate a lot of trash when you eat at home and use the bathroom; asking your guests to leave the trash in the kitchen doesn't cut it. The kitchen was woefully under equipped. The Wi-Fi was terrible and the place wasn't as clean as I'd like. Getting into and out of the tub is a massive struggle unless you're 6 feet tall. There's also very little space in the bedroom. I'm not used to this European system of making your own beds at check-in and dismantling everything upon checkout and the tiny room only added to my displeasure of putting on sheets and covering duvets and pillow cases.
The apartment looks ok and they provided a few coffee pods and some chocolates which were a nice gesture. The apartment is located right by a kind of fun park so our kids had a blast enjoying the summer activities of a rollercoaster, downhill cart racing, bounce house and mini golf (it was 25 francs per child for an all day pass). There's a laundry room close by but be sure to have francs in coins to pay for it, although we didn't quite figure out how to properly pay; either we overpaid or something was wrong with the machine because the time wasn't very accurate and the quantity left to pay was always off.
