Due to old state of structure, evident noise across the floor including beneath and above hence not advisable for light sleepers. Limited bus timings for those dependent with public transport.

Awesome place if you want peace and away from crowd. Surrounding is peaceful and brings healing. Staff were pleasant to deal with. Bus step is few meters away. 24hrs mini store is available within the block.

All good, approach road has some hairpins

Excellent location for access to the Alps. I arrived early on m/c but they were keen to get me in out of the rain. Useful shop just around the corner, I ended up cooking my own evening meal. My apartment was spacious. Clean and comfortable.

Room was right next the street. Since there's no AC in Switzerland, we had to sleep with the windows open and it could get loud from the passing cars.

Room had no wardrobes & only 2 coat hangers. But sparse & small for the price.

Beautiful scenery between mountains. I could probably live here, but please bare in mind, you need to have car and I reccomend this to be your choice for the weekend or a short stay. It is very clean and comfy (I love the bed). The breakfest is standard, yet still tasty :)

Bring ear plugs. They have tried, with double glazing, but it's the main road to the grimselpass in front of your window, and it's noisy. If you are in the main hotel, there are more rooms facing away from the road I think, fewer in the annex.

Very pretty place, and they had clearly put effort into the materials used for the rooms. I was in the annex, across the street, which had recently been refurbished. The dinner was the best food, for the best price, I'd had in Switzerland. I was genuinely starting to despair at the cost of any food here.

If I really need to nitpick (and I do as everything was awesome!) I missed an A/C in the room, but this is just me as I'm used to it. It can get a bit warm with exceptional warm weather.

Like the service from the personnel, the rooms were very comfy and the location on the pass was better than anything.

Sharing a shower with other rooms is okay-ish … but that shared toilet/shower is rather simple There price is a bit high for what you get

Unexpected find, located in a beautiful valley. The room was located across the road from the hotel in a newly renovated building which was excellent. Dinner options were good and either casual bar or more formal dining room options available.

Bit expensive but it's remote so understandable.

I had the single room which was good enough for a solo traveler albeit a bit small. Breakfast was great with fresh croissants, fruit and plenty of options (I would recommend also that they offer kaiserbrotchen or similar instead of only bread). Restaurant was very nice and busy in the evening and food was high quality!

My room was located above the restaurant, and it sounded like a great place to be - unless you were trying to get some sleep. There was music playing and everything. So if you want an early night maybe ask for a quieter room further back.

It was right on the road side, easy to find, pleasant staff.

It is on a the main street and can be noisy during the day due to the motorcycles heading up the pass.

breakfast didn’t have a lot of options for nondairy lactose people like myself, but the croissants and fresh jam/jelly was amazing by itself !

the rooms looked newly renovated everything was clean and crisp. the view was also wonderful.

Sound isolation was not the best, you can hear footsteps of people with are on next floor.

Breakfast has good variety of products of different types. Rooms with great view. Location is amazing - you can go hiking right from the hotel if you want.
