It was hard to find. Tried to locate it on apple maps and it was not in the location that it said it was.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy. They had a cat who was the best thing in the entire universe. Good price for what I got.

room was clean and bed comfortable. They have a kitchen where you can cook your food that it is great because Basel is very expensive. Location was close to the center .

The Bunk Bed's should have better Mattrass. I got a slight back-aching from a tiny bit too soft Mattrass? Smilings' from a Traveller which stood at the Backpacker's Hostel in Basel

The frindly atmosphere as well as the great Coffee all along my entire stay. Just set for consumption, as well as to be asking for at the counter when ever exhausted. Thank you soooo much Ahh, and for the short notice handling of an over-night stay. You have a great coordination Team at the up-front Reception Desk.

Final touches on breakfast

Being first time in Switzerland, i was a bit scared on how to find the facility from the airport but was surprised to locate the facility was very easy, was welcomed warmly as the staff were already aware of my arrival, the rooms, beds, lavatories are clean and comfortable, would definitely recommended anyone visiting Basel to spend a night at BASEL BACKPACK HOSTELS

Staff was very nice, they explained everything thoroughly and everything was easy. The rooms were comfortable enough for a nights sleep, and the location is good, just a 15 min walk from the central train station.

In the rooms I didnt get a power socket,so could not charge my phone near the bed. Otherwise, everythibg was in backpack mode. No luxury, only the basic stuff ask I hoped.

The location was verry good, 10 minutes b< foor to the main train station. The connections to buses and trams also 1-3 minutes. In the near is more than one great locals...

The employees were friendly. They did their best to fulfill our wishes. The location was good. The rooms were warm and clean. If I come again, I might consider staying here.

It’s in an old factory so it has spacious rooms - I had a double bed bunk which was very comfortable. The showers are great - powerful, hot and separate space to change. Free tea and coffee. Free transport pass.

We didn't find the kitchen until the second day when we asked where we could get hot water for tea. A bit more info about the hostal facilities at the beginning of our stay would have been nice.

We had a great double room in the families' wing, with shared toilets and showers. We loved the nice decoration, the comfy modern chairs and old wardrobe, as well as all the wooden touches. It was very warm and we didn't have to turn the radiator on. The shared kitchen is well appointed, with two separate hob areas and plenty of dishes and pans. The communal table is lovely, to meet other travellers young and not so much. The location is a 15-20 minute walk from the Basel SBB and the Basel Card included in the price was very handy for trams and buses. Tram 15 stops nearby. Tram 16 a few blocks away (they modified the route in 2023).

Some of the dorm room beds were king sized and the rest were larger than usual, which was really nice. Everything was super clean, kitchen very large and laundry was even free. The receptionist was very friendly and showed me around a bit too!!

It is far from the Basel station (sbb), need to walk for a distance. The environment is dark, so hard to find the hostel. All the share area was dusky.

The beds not being made. I've stayed at loads of hostels over the years and normally wouldn't be bothered by this especially when just travelling alone or as a couple. But with two very tired kids in tow, arriving after midnight, making up 4 beds, 2 being very high bunk beds was not great 😑 We were literally there to lay our heads, (only about 8 hours) as we were setting off the next morning to get the train to Germany. But the beds being made would have made a massive difference. We just weren't expecting it, it may well have been in the instructions, but I hadn't seen it. Also it took us quite a while to find the building for 'guesthouse' people gathered outside at night had no idea and were saying it definitely wasn't the building it ended up being. So yes a larger dark sign reading 'guesthouse' would have helped too.

The location was great and would be a great destination in the summer due to the outdoor area I liked the quirkiness

The light in the room is so dark. There is no hair-dryer. it's little dificult to find the location, but i found it.

the room is so good, and bed is good too. toliet is clean. staff is so kind. i check-in late night and check-out early morning, there is no problem and perfect. It's close from train station(Basel SBB). it takes 10 mins on foot.

Some pillows are awful.

Big comfortable double bed inside hostel room. Free tea 24/7. Reasonable, as for the Swiss, price, which also includes BaselCard with free transport inc to airport

Electric outlets are far from upper beds. Kitchen is a bit small and crowded all the time. No towel provided.

Location is close to Basel SBB train station, with lots of restaurants nearby. Beds are spacious, shared toilets and showers are clean and well-equipped. Wifi connection is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Common space is very pretty and well-decorated.
