Staff there was absolutely amazing and go above and beyond! I arrived late to Basel but the receptionist contacted me and stayed back to ensure I was able to check in and settle me in before closing up. All the staff have been very friendly and tried their best to accomodate!

The location isn't central, but right next to the tram stop so getting to the city center doesn't take too long.

Nice rooms and the common space in the hostel + a terrace in front. Free filter coffee in the morning. Very helpful and friendly staff. Common bathrooms were always clean.

Friendly staff. Old building but well maintained. Shared bathrooms are very clean. We were two people in a dorm for four so we had lots of space. We were given the Basel Card so we could use public transportation for free.

There are no sockets near the beds. I found one but I couldn't use it because the bed was in front of the socket :(

I was missing some small wardrobe or shelving unit (for example something like Kallax from IKEA) in my room.

Good accommodation for undemanding travelers. I had room with view to street and crossroad and I appreciated it, because I like this type of view when I'm on the short vacation. Young woman at the reception was helpful and friendly. My bed was comfortable. I would definitely use again.

No Internet connection in the Green Room (bed by the window). It was fine in other parts of the hostel.

The rooms were very large and there was plenty of space under the bunk beds, as well as a nice night stand. There were enough spaces in the bathroom, and the place was clean. It was only a 10-15 minute walk from the Basel train station, which made getting there very convenient. The staff was super helpful and kind and even stayed up late for my later arrival, which I appreciated, and the checkout was simple and quick.

I just found it strange that the bed was not ready - guest puts sheets on the bed. it wasn't a problem for me, but if I arrived too late it would have been a bit inconvenient...

I stayed for a short period, less than 24hs and I didn't even use all the facilities from the hostel to avaliate proper... Butt I can say that I found the building and room beautiful, clean and well located :)

İ was little nervous about the shared bathroom and showers but everything was clean and hygienic. The staff was lovely. And you can understand just looking at the name of the hostel, it's designed for backpackers. Thanks to that you can meet new great people and make new friends easily in the public area.

I think the breakfast must start at 7 am in the morning. Becoz if we have a train to catch in the early morn then we may miss the buffet breakfast.

I liked Assistantlce, location, my bed and neatness.. I would notice you that the electric power socket was not working in my room(red) near to the window.

Quite old and not so comfortable beds. They produced so much noise when moving during sleeping. This should be improved.

The location is close to Main Railway Station with 10 minutes walking time. With kitchen facility means you can prepare your own meal and save money. Basel Backpack is suitable for budget Travellers.

Not good soundproofing of the rooms. When other guests were making noise in the common area, you couldn't have a good rest.
