Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaThe shared kitchen can operate earlier as the opening time is 7am.
You have to be prepared to walk (15mins) from Train Station and personally think it is a bit far since you carry your luggage with you. Our room (without toilet) is decent but shared toilet is located quite a distance so it was quite inconvenience during night time for taking a loo.

United Statessince you are charging this much, provide toilet items, more towels and essential items like water, coffee etc.
give preference for the guests at the restaurant, the restaurant staff behavior was rude and also showed lot of disrespect. I would not revisit that restaurant again. The location was away from train station and the cost was high too.

Lithuania- The beds were squeaking too much that really disturbed the sleep.
Of course, perfect location to explore the area. Overall camping facilities were very good maintained. Check in and bar staff were lovely. Very convenient to have a shop on site. One thing to mention - our battery died on the check out day, staff at the reception were really helpful, but the guy who actually came to help us with a car, was quite unpleasant and angry, not sure why… He did not speak english very well, so cant tell the reason, but he was the only person on camping site, that wasnt nice from the staff.

United KingdomRoom was small (the triple upstairs) and the doors are not sound proofed - so was very difficult to sleep in. Restaurant should be bigger and offer an early breakfast for those wanting to visit Jungfraujoch early in the day.

NetherlandsWhen booking a Fox hut (fuchsbau) I'd recommend making sure you don't get nr. 112. Long story short: I guess all other locations are fine, nr 112 is just the one situated very poorly. Detailed story: it's located at both the public entrance of a river and right next to a public fireplace. People are of course at the fireplace every day from 4pm until sometimes way past 11pm. People repeatedly splashed and/or took everything that was on our veranda, chairs table etc to expand their gathering, put food and dirty laundry there. I guess due to the kinda weird location it felt like it belonged to the public place. We felt a bit uncomfortable being on our veranda in the evening as it faced the bbq group so very closely immediately, which was swapped every 2 hours with a new group. Even more so was having to ask people to leave at 11:30pm (it's quiet time after 10pm on this camping) so we could get some sleep, as it's only a meter away from the beds with a thin wall in between. All guests were very friendly and we had some great conversations so no issues there, it's just not great for relaxing. We could move after 2 days to another Fox cabin which was super.
Amazing location. Clean, tidy camping with a lot of shower&toilet facilities. Friendly personnel. The restaurant is great, never before had such good food in a camping restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it's very popular. We'd probably rate it a 9/10 if we had more luck with the fox cabin location.

South AfricaBathrooms could be a bit cleaner it it's not as private as we had thought it would be as the campers were right se t up right in front of the house so not as peaceful as we thought. But overall it was a good stay.
Location was great! There is a great view of the waterfall. Overall a good experience and good for a budget stay.

United StatesThe bed is really uncomfortable and the room gets hot in the summer because there's no fan or AC. Location is a bit far from the station so it was quite a walk but Staubbach & Trümmelbach Falls are nearby. Too pricey considering the facility
Friendly and helpful staff. I could see one of the waterfalls from my room and from the bathroom. There's a good Swiss restaurant on the compound.

United StatesOur beds were a bit uncomfortable but not unexpected for camp bunk beds! I would have liked a fan for warm evenings. The windows have no screens so leaving open allows insects. And there were people outside having loud conversations in the evening so we had to close windows to get sleep.
Loved the location, staff, restaurant, and overall vibe.

United KingdomStayed in a '3 bed' room. Was in reality one massive bed. Luckily only two of us or would have been bad for the person in the middle. Had to make own bed with really poor quality sheets. Shop on site totally overpriced and restaurant fully booked and way too small for the site. Our room also had a door (locked) straight to the next room and we could hear every word. I don't mind expensive if it means quality but this place is totally overpriced with staff that just want you booked in and out as quick as possible.
Stunning location.

Czech RepublicPrice of the tiny family hut (200 eur per night per 2+2 family) with shared bathrooms and shared kitchen. The huts are not worth it, you can get much better accommodation in appartments in Wengen for the same price.
Great well equipped camp in a stunning location. However, the tiny unequipped family hut we stayed in Camping Jungfrau was for the same price per night as a huge luxurious apparment in Zermatt with Matterhorn view that we stayed in previously, so moving to the hut was a massive shock and downgrade. The camp is great and much recommend it for regular camping in a tent or campavan.

Canada-One of the community bbq's was right next door to the cabin so people came and went. -Parents sitting on my deck while their kids played in the water. -convenience store/reception closed too early.
Bed was comfortable. The little stream in front of the cabin was nice. Being able to see the waterfalls from the cabin was great. The restaurant was nice as well.

AustraliaWe stayed in a room with shared bathroom facilities. It was very loud all the time making it difficult if you want an early night or a sleep in, the quiet hours are not respected by the guests. The kitchen was always busy, and the one fridge was very full. The rooms are small and the beds are very short. We are both under 5’8 and our feet were at the end of the bed. Using the washing machine was an absolute nightmare! It is all run through an app that works very poorly. You have to reserve a machine via the app but someone else can easily use your machine if you don’t get there quick enough and then you will be charged for someone else’s washing. Reception is not much help with this as the app works externally from the Jungfrau camp. The facilities were disgusting for most of our stay in the group home, except when cleaned first thing in the morning. My female partner started to feel unsafe when she attempted to use the female only areas and found men in there multiple times. Toilet seats and floors were covered in urine and not flushed most of the time in men’s and women’s. Shower areas are very dark with limited lighting, not very clean with clumps of hair. Also very old showers, some didn’t lock. We ate at the restaurant one night and prices were super high and the food wasn’t very good. You also must book in advance. The shop also had very high priced in comparison to town. Overall I felt we paid more than what we got.
The location was nice with the view of the waterfall. There is a restaurant and shop on site.

GermanyThe headline of the cabin was misleading. Most of the cabins explicitly say they have shared bathrooms in the title, so we booked the Family Cabin (for more money) which didn't say that in the title. To our surprise when we got there, it didn't have it's own bathroom. Only in the small details it said a shared bathroom.
The cabin was clean and the staff were helpful. The toilets and showers were very very clean. If you're into camping it's a very nice place to stay and the views are amazing from the cabins.

United StatesThe bed was a foam pad, I believe, and was old - not very comfortable. It was a ways to walk from the train station with luggage, but not terrible. You can take a bus 1/2 way, if you want to wait for one.
We enjoyed having our own place (little mobile home) with a frig, our own bathroom/shower, and falling asleep to the sound of the river close by. We loved getting warm bread in the morning from the little store there.
