The hotel is easily accessible and close to the train station, while being very quiet over night. Our room was more like a 2-bedroom apartment, more than enough space for 5 people and definitely worth a long stay. We'll definitely consider to stay here again if travelling again in the area.

We were very grateful for the help Kumar has done for us, we did not find many faults for this place.

I have to highlight the kindness from Kumar, the staff late night who stayed for us till very late to check in, as we were stuck up the mountains by car. He guided us directions on the phone and helped us reach to the hotel. Not many hotels were available for a decent price and Das Sherlock Holmes made us feel at ease. Location was excellent and truly grateful for the late night staff. Thank you kindly.

The bathroom drain did not work well, water would sit for a while before completely draining. The hotel was not worth the price whatsoever with a small room and location being in the middle of a small Swiss village as for the same price you could stay in Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen areas. The biggest issue I have is the hotel was not worth the price they charged. If it was half of the price, it would have been fine.

Location and views. Although no air conditioning, they provided a fan that helped during the day time.

Swimmingpool was out of work, no cooler or coffee on the room. No airco. The breakfast was only the basis. The hotels needs a renovation. Everything is out of date. This is not what you aspect for the price.

Wonderful location near town but quieter with great mountain views and a nearby stream with a walking path. Close to everything in town but slightly apart with a more residential setting. I loved the sound of running water with the windows open, otherwise, the soundproofing worked well. Helpful staff and facilities as advertised. The elevator and parking worked well for my stay.

Double bed was a bit small.

Location is hard to beat. We had a family room and it was quiet, comfortable and clean. Perfect for a short stay and excellent value compared to other options in Meiringen. Simple breakfast buffet, but all the essentials were there. Good coffee.

Very pleasant stay, 2 adults + 3 teenagers. We were hiking 3 days in CH. Walking dist. To Aareschlucht and Reichenbachfall. We had big apt. with two separate bedrooms. Newly renovated. Nice bathroom,and terasse. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good value for money. Dog allowed,at onlu chf 10 extra cost.

Location is perfect for setting off to do the passes. Hotel is located very close to town high street, restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops, etc. Small underground car park for added security if you are on a motorcycle but safe enough to leave them parked by the Terrase at the front of the hotel. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Fan provided in the room. Breakfast is simple but adequate selection/choices and decent coffee machine.

Due to a location of our room, we had outside car park just under the windows, which meant quite lot of noise. Also, the room was quite pricey considering the other hotels we stayed at during out trip & the options it offered.

Very friendly and helpful staff providing us with lot of local knowledge and recommendations around late dinner places. The room size and bathroom were good, hotel nicely decorated in the Sherlock Holmes theme. Breakfast was good with lot of options. Underground parking was also nice feature for our motorbike. We appreciate the walking distance to the city centre from the hotel.
