How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was a problem with the outside door on initial entry (to get into the check in booth). Luckily someone came out of the door so we were able to get in. Fine once we had our key as this activated the door lock
Great location and good value for money in this expensive city. We met a staff member who was very helpful though a lot of the time the hotel is unmanned.

our shower flooded our room so we had to change rooms. there were no tables or towel hangers in the room

The Check-In and Check-Out is automated and very easy. There is no staff present but most of the items are taken care of. Location is good. Tram station nearby, 3 stops to Zurich Train Station.

No chair nor table in the room. Only a bed. Very thin walls between rooms. Can hear everything in next room and hear everybody walking in the corridor. Very disturbing at night.

I had no issues. Nothing I did not like.
Extremely convenient for people who are travelling at odd hours. We were checking in late and getting up early, so it was perfect to just use the computer to check in and out and not have to worry about reception hours.

It was just the absolute bare minimum and nothing more. beds, a toilet, and a shower. nothing else. no closet, dresser, storage, not even a table. didn’t even have proper hooks to hang up clothing or coats. no bin in the bathroom or face tissues. plugs next to beds light up and make a high pitch noise which made it hard to sleep. the peephole in the door was plugged shut with a receipt, it was like that when we arrived. Church across from window had a really loud bell that went off throughout all times of the day, not the hotels fault but did disrupt sleep and is something to consider. overall, just not worth the price and isn’t necessarily that close to the city centre or much at all.
the wifi was good and they had lockers to store luggage after check out.

No kettle in the room. The ventilation was really poor. It kept smelling of methane for the whole stay, for some reason. The bathroom was very, very small. The washbasin is no larger than the tap above it, and water sprays everywhere when you use it.

The room was insanely dusty!!!! As someone with asthma, I had multiple attacks from the dust. The pillows, sheets, and covers were all spotted with dust bunnies. Just walking in the room had multiple dust patches stuck on our feet.
The location was good, except there was no human staff member at the location. So we weren't able to ask for any help or guidance.

Room was quite big but bed was too small for a couple also the bed was very uncomfortable. And same toilet was like cubicle too tiny. They has much space to accommodate big toilet. it’s just good for one person and one night stay. won’t recommend to anyone

The internet didn't work on our room, which was a ig problem.
