Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWhen booking the room with Booking.com it indicated that the room has air conditioning but once we checked in we were told only double room plus have air conditioning. The room has a portable electric fan . So we have to open the windows at night to cool off the warm room, the hotel is surrounded by bars and you can here the screaming, conversations of people,motorcycles and cars all night long. We spent 2 nights unable to sleep.
The location to the train station, and the sites was good. Modern updated amenities also mean small and cramped rooms.

SingaporeIt wasn't air conditioning as assured by the hotel. Its probably a cooling fan. Location was not far, but it not easy to reach the hotel from the train station. We have to come down to lobby to get water and reception is closed from 7pm. Breakfast was cozy but food not nice.

France- Reception closes at 22:30 with no preliminary warning during check-in - No electrical adaptors were provided upon arrival and, since the reception was closed when we realized that, we had to spend the night without charging our appliances - The Felix suggests to ask for help from the nearby hotel after 22:30 but they did not help at all there (demonstrated some hostility instead) - One towel was obviously dirty but we could not have it changed immediately because we found out after 22:30 - On the next day morning, we asked for a change of towels and put the signal for room cleaning at the door but nothing was done - Reception claimed that we had put a sign to prevent the room to be cleaned and said it was « offending » to claim the truth

Bathroom has glass floor to ceiling panel so can been seen in shower and toilet - not ideal for friends sharing - but you can pull the curtain across so it blocks the view. I think this was done as a design feature as the rooms are small but then Zurich is an expensive city. We had the cheapest room so suggest if staying for longer or not solo, to get a larger room. We sadly stayed in the heat wave and with a small room with no AC, it was highly uncomfortable but am sure other times of the year, would be ok.

AustraliaShower door only opens inwards which is a safety issue - if someone collapsed in the shower, you could not open the door. No instructions on how to use the air-conditioner in the room. Was set quite high at 25 degrees we could not lower it even by 1 degree. Had a very uncomfortable night’s sleep as we were too hot. Was after hours when we tried to change it so no staff to call on either. Would have liked if they had provided instructions in the room.

United KingdomRooms were small and hot. No a/c in the room. Expensive, considering the breakfast was not included. It’s like a budget hotel for a high end price. Pillows were not substantial. The shower leaked through the door onto the floor. The towels got smaller as the week progressed.

United KingdomThis hotel would have been nice, but our stay was spoiled due to the fact that our booking was not specifically for a room with air conditioning and the weather was hot when we stayed. Initially we were given a room with AC, but the AC was dripping a lot of water and the room had a musty smell. We got moved to another room; however, this did not have AC. (There were no other free rooms.) It had a tower fan which was somewhat helpful, but noisy. Tried to open the window at night when it cooled down but it was noisy outside due to being in middle of the centre. This meant a dreadful night of sleep and spoilt our stay here. When raised to the staff and asked for either partial refund or breakfast offered (not included in the booking) we were offered a “day starter” breakfast (hot drink, juice, croissant) as a gesture of good will. Make sure you specifically book a room with “fixed AC” if you stay when the weather is hot.
Good location, easy to find and access from Zurich main train station. Rooms were reasonably spacious and clean. Staff was helpful.
