The ambiance is very Italian and the hotel with its restaurants are very beautiful. The staff is professional and nice. The hotel is smack in the center of Lugano. The rooms could be made more charming to match the restaurants, although they work well.

Beautiful place in the middle of the old town. Very friendly staff, great bathroom and delicious breakfast. Excellent restaurant. The stay came with entry coupons for an exclusive club and discount vouchers for their shop.

Strong perfume in the room (no doubt: with good intention) can trigger migraine (happened to me) and is not necessarily the taste of everybody, especially when all the textile in the room gets impregnated with it...

Excellent location in the centre of the city with plenty of restaurants nearby (also for breakfast). Friendly and flexible personel (English speaking too). Comfortable and spacious room (especially the shower!).

The room felt a little cramped. It wasn't particularly small but the only window faced onto an internal lightwell so it felt a little claustrophobic.

Very modern, well-maintained room in an (ostensibly) old building right in the heart of Lugano. Excellent (if expensive) restaurant downstairs.

We can not eat in the restaurant and the roof because are full. We would have loved to be able do it! We would have liked recived a suggestion to make a reservation abd enjoy both places.

The shower designed with only one glass door that does not prevent water from splashing out, Above the toilet, the air suction works non-stop, The lighting in the room was faulty and was fixed at our request The towel warmer was also arranged at our request. The entrance to the hotel is on the first floor, so to get to the reception you have to go up the stairs with your luggage or drag yourself between the restaurant's guests to the elevator in the heart of the restaurant.

The hotel is beautiful and the room is very nice, there is good storage space, cabinets, a table, a safe, but there is no stand for making coffee. Everything is designed and special in bright colors and quality materials, The bedroom is dim - even with full lighting and creates a calm atmosphere. In the bathroom, the bathtub is stunning, big and beautiful. The room overlooks the beautiful central square. The staff was very nice, and tried to help quickly with our request

Our room (21) was a little bit noisy from vehicles outside from about 7am - but earplugs were provided. Otherwise, it was perfect.

It's very crowded, because it's in an old building there are steps everywhere and is a little uncomfortable dragging luggage and trying to fit in the aisles.

The Hotel is located in the old part of the city and from the train station easy to reach with the funiculaire. The breakfast was delicious as well as Lunch in the enclosed restaurant

Window faced a wall inside the hotel??? So there was no window outside. It just felt very claustrophobic to not have an outdoor facing window (especially when you don’t have a balcony either) but luckily only stayed one night and we were out of the hotel most of the day / night exploring. Wouldn’t affect us staying here again

Did not like how you had to walk through the restaurant to get to your room. We could hear the kitchen all night and early in the morning clinking plates and silverware around. The room was small and pretty outdated. It’s down a pretty steep hill so if you have luggage you will struggle getting it back up to the train station.

We liked how close we were to the lake.

Not sure the fridge was cold enough to store food, but still nice to have for water and drinks! I left my luggage there on the last day and it was left at reception but there was often nobody at reception, so anyone could have taken it, would have been better in a locked room. I wished there had been a place to sit outside the room - a lounge area with sofas or tables outside the room (other than the chairs at reception), you needed to order something to eat or drink in order to sit at the restaurant.

The room is really nice, 4 star quality, I liked how it was decorated and all the furnishings and wardrobe were top quality. Beautiful stone bathroom. AC worked well. Location perfectly central near the station. Great atmosphere with the restaurant and market below. They put plenty of water bottles in the room daily. Also nice view from the rooftop bar/restaurant. My second time staying here and I will be back!
