Breakfast options were not particularly impressive. Room key was attached to a super heavy piece of metal that was annoying to carry around. No protected luggage area - anyone could grab your stuff. Expensive for what it is, but I think that's all of Grindelwald.

Really nice people at reception, the owners I'm assuming. Comfortable bed. Nice view of the mountains off our balcony. It was helpful that you could buy tickets for local activities at the hotel front desk. Good sized bathroom with towels provided. Short walk to town to find restaurants/things to do. Has a rustic-cabin feel that's classic Swiss Alps.

There was nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The hotel is in a perfect location with spectacular views in all directions. It's exceptionly clean and very modern but with a homely feel. The staff are extremely professional and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Our stay was wonderful. The property is gorgeous, our room was clean, the balcony was amazing, the location is perfect to explore all of the town. I had my golden retriever with me, and she was welcomed into the hotel like family. The breakfast offering was delicious and plentiful and the staff as a whole was so kind and welcoming. We ended up having to cut our stay short due to a family emergency, but I would absolutely stay here again!!

My room was very small and it was difficult to walk around the bed without bumping into the corners of the bed.

The host was great. I loved the ‘Contact the Property’ message feature and used it several times to keep the communication about my travel situation and arrival timing.

Nothing. The experience so far exceeded our expectations that there are no complaints. We celebrated our 65th wedding anniversary here. The owners and staff made us feel like honored guests- an unforgettable experience!

The room was large, tastefully decorated, exceptionally well-lighted and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner a pleasure with the attentive staff and great food. The view from our terrace was totally awesome.

This incredible hotel has the most extraordinary views imaginable. The couple who run it are amazingly kind, friendly and informative. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a huge bed. Best of all was the balcony looking directly out on the enormous alps. Incredible. Highly recommend this great place.

Love this place so much! The rooms are extra large and special, and the mountains are just outside the balcony! The view is picturesque. The house is over 120 years old and it was a pleasure to stay here, Gery and michel were exceptionally nice! The hotel breakfast was rich and delicious, and you can also buy tickets for excursions to the Jungfrau directly here. Thanks also to Gery for driving to the train station to pick us up. All in all, fell in love with Grindelwald because of this hotel!

Loved our balcony, we had such a great view of the mountains. The room was small considering the price, but the view totally made up for it. The bathrooms are nice and updated, breakfast is superb. Great location in Grindelwald as its not a far walk from the First gondola or the train station but far enough away from the busier part of the town.

A lovely family run authentic hotel, full of charm and history. We felt welcomed straight away, our room had wonderful wooden alpine architecture with a balcony view of the mountains. Plenty of storage for cloths and a huge comfortable bed. Although we booked for B&B, we found the daily dinner menu so good and reasonably priced that we ate at the hotel every night, although our decision was influenced by the tendency for rain to occur during the evenings. Good fortune, as we had five days walking without any rain. Young and old, we are both approaching 75, were at the hotel and it was a convivial place to dine, with much chatter between quests. All the staff were lovely, but we would like to mention Rossi and Joseph for their attentive care and send them our best wishes. We highly recommend Hotel Gletschergarten.

Amazing place to stay in Grindelwald. Family owned and run hotel, very authentic exterior and interior. Location is brilliant in a short distance from crowds, at the same time being on the main street. It can’t get enough of the spectacular view to the mountains while enjoying glass of wine on a balcony.

If there was only one thing I would recommend would be a second pillow or thicker pillows. This is purely a personal preference. Otherwise I slept comfortably each night.

Beautiful, classic property with wonderful hospitality and accommodations. Great 5 course dinner served that made one feel you stepped back in time. Bus stop literally steps away and near all attractions and train station.

We had a great stay here! The owners were so friendly and we felt so welcomed. The location was great, I enjoy the balcony time each evening with the view of the mountains. And thank you again for providing us with the ride to the station! If we ever visit Grindelwald again for sure we will stay at your hotel again!
