Nice room in a pleasant hotel in central Grindelwald. Pleasant, helpful staff. Electrical connections in room were in awkward locations - ie we had to put jug on floor for cord to reach power point. Breakfast was limited - no real muesli, quite a lot of packaged product.

All was fine. Only remark is that the kitchen in the apartment could do with some more basic kitchen ware. Plus that it would be great to also have heating for the ski boots in the ski depot to dry them properly.

We were checked in by a male staff member who lacked customer service. Although he was not rude, he didn't give us a good impression. We asked him to recommend a nice Swiss restaurant and his reply was "I don't like Swiss food". On check-out day, we left our luggage in a store room and came back for them much later in the afternoon. The same male staff was on duty, and he told us to go get the luggage ourselves since the room wasn't locked. He didn't bother to help at all. During our stay, we did meet other male staff who were friendlier.

It is about 12 minutes walk from the train station. You can also take bus 121 from the station (only 1 stop away). Nearby to Grindelwald First station (5 minutes walk). Fruit basket available at the front desk. Migros supermarket right next to the hotel. Breakfast was not bad. Our room faces the main road but it wasn't noisy.

Only issue - our room overlooked the bus stop. Late night and early morning post bar revelers made sleeping a bit challenging at times. Ear plugs were needed for my spouse.

The room was very hot, we understand that airconditioners are not allowed in Switzerland, but there were no portable fans available. A fan would have helped.

The apartment was impeccably clean and maintained, although the decor and furnishings had a charming, albeit slightly dated, Swiss style. This only added to the rustic charm of the place. A minor inconvenience was that the water took some time to heat up in the shower, but it was a small issue compared to the overall quality of the stay.

The location couldn’t be better, situated right in the heart of the village, which made exploring the area very convenient. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The room itself was a pleasant surprise – it was not just a room but a full apartment complete with a kitchen. It was more spacious than I had anticipated and featured a private entrance, adding an extra layer of privacy to our stay.

The quadruple room was small. The other two beds were for small kids and not for adults . I was told (written confirmation from hotel staff )these two other beds, which are really a pullout of the sofa bed, would be large enough to fit 2 adults (6ft tall). Bathroom was really very basic and the room became super hot in the night despite us opening the window. Seems very expensive for this type of accommodation.

The hotel is centrally located. Check in staff was very helpful even though I checked in after hours (after 7:00 pm)

Breakfast was too basic and kitchen understaffed. Replenishing supplies took too long we gave up on waiting for eggs one occasion.
