Comfortable and firm bed, mountain view balcony, clean, spacious bathroom, helpful and friendly staff especially the reception. Close proximity to Migros supermarket, just two shops away, 4 to 5 minutes walk to the Grindelwald train station to go out exploring. Good introduction to Swiss cheese, raclette, the waitress at the hotel's restaurant, taught us how to eat our cheese with the condiments.

The hotel is right in the centre of Grindelwald with easy access to the train, lift, sports centre, shops and restaurants. We had double and superior rooms and both were great, the superior had loads of space, a large balcony and was very comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of food. Staff were very helpful with questions, lift passes and providing facilities to get showered and changed before our trip back home.

The breakfast was only boiled egg, some vegetables and cheeses and sausages. It was ok but not so much of a variety.

The room was clean, the view from the room was amazing. The location is good because its right on the main street, close to everything, most importantly only 10 minutes walk from the train.

Bedroom flooring cold, slippers are provided which we didn’t notice until departure. Maybe a rug at the bedside ?

We had a very friendly reception on arrival. We were able to park behind the hotel. Our room was in the new block. Quiet and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive. We had an excellent evening fondue and the “Boss” ? Hr Blocher ? Was an excellent Host. Nice hotel in perfect location.

The owner and his wonderful staff (especially Samira) were so kind and offered excellent customer service. The rooms were huge and the view was spectacular. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. I highly recommend this 5th generation hotel!

A lot of rooms were being renovated during my stay. It was dusty and a little noisy. It is a shame as I think that the hotel would have been fantastic if not for the renovations. I stayed for 9 nights, so it really did impact on my stay.

It was a shame the restaurant was closed the two nights we were there (Sunday and Monday) but right next door was Barry’s which was great and a delicious pizza the next night

The staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The receptionist was happy to help us with some ideas for activities the next day. Our Mt view superior double room with balcony was beautiful and the views amazing. Such a big room by Swiss standards and clean and comfortable. Parking was available for a small daily fee. Breakfast was delicious and they even had fruit to make into juice which I love.

Centrally located and easy to access. Room was spacious and the patio had a beautiful view of the mountain! The desk staff was friendly and extremely helpful with any questions we had. The parking across the street was also very convenient.

breakfast buffet was very good, hard boiled eggs, cereals, breads, croissants, meats, cheese, jams, fruit, etc. The staff was very accommodating, held our bags after check out....hot and cold water available in lobby by front desk, location was just a few minute walk from First mountain gondola and coop grocery store and Bebbis restaurant. Our room even had a small balcony which was nice as it was very warm when we were there.

Excellent location, in the middle of the main street and the 10 minutes walk to the train station , breakfast was included which I have not use it since I have early ticket to Jungfraujoch. The front desk Samira was very nice and patient , very helpful , the next morning I leave my luggage in the storage area ,until I got the back late afternoon to pick it up, at that time, I have learned some history of this hotel, the hotel in the family has been for five generations, it start business in year 1888 by the great great grandfather, it had rebuild 1963, and there some old pictures in the restaurant area, even have a copy of receipt from 1930 [$21], and the nice manager I met who is the great great grandson of the hotel founder. What an amazing story, Highly recommended!
