The hotel served perfectly what I expected. There is nothing that I did not like.

The single room is not close to the plug-in. Except for this, it's so nice.

This is an old and tiered hotel that charges way too much for what is on offer. There is no ski room for boots and skis so have to be left in the corridor outside the rooms . The extra charge for hotel guests to use the small spa area is outrageous. The breakfast was minimal and basic. This hotel will have to do much better to attract and retain guests.

During the booking, I forgot to mention i have a 2 year old kid, but after reservation I immediately emailed the property about my child including our name and the child's name. We were charged additional 80 CHF when they saw my child during check-in.

The location was excellent, the main train station was only 7 min walking distance way, Grindelwald first was just 5 min walking distance away. Excellent access to multiple buses. Best location

The room is small and dark, with a wardrobe. The floorboards are noisy when walked on (hollow). The bathroom fixtures are compact, and the toilet tends to get wet easily. There's no large table available, and the power outlets are in an odd position (about 10 cm off the ground). However, the cleaning service is very thorough, and there are coin-operated laundry facilities, though they are a bit old and dirty.

Breakfast is served starting at 07:30 and is quite good; the cereal is tasty. There is hot and cold water available next to the reception, and you can also store your luggage there.

The beds were hard. The linens on the bed were scratchy. It felt like the whole room was leaning and when you layed down on the bed it felt like your head was below your feet. We were with 2 other couples and they had the same feeling. It made you slightly dizzy and kinda nauseous. Also NO air conditioning. No shampoo or conditioner for the shower. It just wasn't a pleasant stay. Also we had one room key and it had to be put into a box for the electricity to work so if your significant other wanted to leave the room and take the key with them to get back in the other person wouldn't have electricity while they were gone. It was just weird.

We arrived in the evening and had a very warm welcoming and very easy check in. Staff was very friendly and happy. The room was clean.

no AC, skimped on shampoo/body wash-denied us refill. door to shower is only halfway covered, so there was always water everywhere in the bathroom after using it flies in room and in dining hall

there's a restaurant near the hotel, that restaurant has "happy wednesday" event that they had a musical band to perform and it was super loud even after 10-11pm that it's impossible to sleep, super disturbing if you have kids and need to sleep early.

the location is right at Grindlewald city centre. All hotel staff we met are friendly. Room is spacious and looks cosy. Breakfast is delicious too.

They should improve breakfast food variety (too much carbs and almost non protein foods) and also change towels every day, and try to improve cleaning the rooms between days, it looks like they only made the beds and accommodated thing inside the room without cleaning the room properly.

Great location at the heart of grindelwald. The staff is super nice, and the view from the room in the back is good (because you have the swiss alps as backdrop, which makes the view great)

To be honest, I had no negative feelings towards the place

Staff were helpful and friendly. Choice of food at breakfast was very good and the breakfast room ladies were excellent. Space in the single room was sufficient and the small bathroom was adequate for my needs. Having use of a Lift to my room on the third floor was very welcome after a very tiring journey to the hotel with heavy baggage.

Bed for 12 year old not for a grown man. Why do most european hotels insist of giving you children beds when you book a single? The most important thing when booking a room will always be the bed.

Hotel had no room service, so if you wanted anything to drink or eat, you had to go downstairs and bring yourself(although empty plates were cleaned up by house keeping next morning) . No coffee machine on rooms, which made it really difficult for us as we are heavy coffee drinker. Staffs were really friendly, except one, which I found a bit rude.. But maybe that was because she was handling restaurant alone on Thursday evening.. And it was busy.

The light in our bathroom went out during our first night (out of three) we let the front desk know about this the next day but nothing was done to remedy it during our stay. I understand it was out of their control, but it was really inconvenient/uncomfortable to have no light in the bathroom. We were not offered to switch rooms or any kind of reimbursement. It was never even acknowledged.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and breakfast was tasty with a nice variety. Location was great! Less than a 10 min walk from the main train station and about 2-3 min walk to the firstbahn.

We asked for a cup just to fill it up with hot water for having a tea and they told us we can only give you paper cup. We were next to the restaurant, they could give us a cup or a glass. Also, someone accidentally entered our room at 3am, which was weird.

Major construction going on which resulted in us not being able to use our balcony until after 5.30pm. Discussed this with front desk and got offered an even worse room for noise and disruption. Hotel should have let guests know this construction was underway during booking. We would have gone eslewhere.
