Not sure about self service check in. Found it a bit tricky at first, but was able to negotiate it. Thankfully there was a staff member there in cafe who was there to help.

Be aware that the 4th floor apartments have really low ceilings. Also, the breakfast is crazy expensive.

Stayed two different nights a week apart. The 2nd room had a very slow drain in the shower stall. Otherwise, great!

The rooms were nice and more space than I expected. The location was great - close to the train station and very walkable to shopping and restaurants.

Bathroom sink drain clogged - water drained slowly. Not very hot water in shower during the night. Fully Robotic hotel in the evening with No staff - but check-in worked still better than at other similar places.

Light in the room is provided by a few spot lights which makes the room a bit dim. Also, more hooks in the bathroom please.

There were a couple of issues for us. The self check in did not work so we were directed by the café staff to a sister hotel one block away to get a keycard. It is very close so not a big deal. Unfortunately when we returned and accessed our room we realized it was the wrong one, as we had paid for an upgrade to a larger room the week before (when suggested to by booking.com). So I returned again to the hotel down the street for assistance. Perhaps there was a communication breakdown between booking.com and the hotel as it was not clear to the hotel staff that our room had been upgraded. The lady I dealt with at the sister hotel was very pleasant to deal with and I cannot fault her, she was doing her job and doing it well. I make this comment just to point out that it is inconvenient for the guest to have to go twice to another location to resolve an issue that perhaps could have been avoided in the first place. Once we were in the correct room we were mostly very happy with our stay, hence 7/10. However the coffee machine could not be used as when we removed the water container to fill it, we noticed a leak, which had already had an attempt at being fixed with what looked like some sort of gum or filler (?) So we decided best not to risk using it. The other issue was that the toilet door did not close at all . The door is one on a track that slides away into the wall and it just would not budge from inside the wall. Thankfully the room was big enough, and we know each other long enough(!), that we could manage for one night but it is less than ideal for 2 people sharing a room to have no toilet privacy. If I hadn't already gone to the sister hotel twice that day just to get into the right room, I may have returned to mention about the toilet door and coffee machine. But I was tired from travelling and decided that as long as we had a comfortable bed to sleep in, which we did, the other things could be marked and 'unfortunate but not necessary'.

The bed was super comfortable, the room had a tv with lots of stations and a nice balcony. The room was modern and spacious. The hairdryer was really good quality which was a very welcome surprise when travelling! Everything was clean and very well decorated. Shower gels, shampoos etc are provided as well as towels. The staff in the café below were very pleasant to deal with. It is in a very convenient location close to the train station and overall I found it good value for Zurich. There are some grocery stores nearby and some good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. We experienced 3 minor issues - check in complications/broken toilet door/coffee machine leak which I detail in the negative box, so it wasn't a perfect stay but overall was still very good.

No fridge in the room and sockets aren’t suitable for laptops. Tricky check-in process in the cafe downstairs. overpriced like everything in Zurich.

Location is great, close to the railway station and just 10-15mins to the city center by foot. Rooms are tidy and the hotel is really quiet and peaceful. The cafe on a ground floor is very good one and Coop supermarket in 1 minute.

Great location with the perfect room setup for solo business travel. Great bathroom and comfortable bed. 2 minute walk to Zurich main station and 5 minutes from most other attractions in the city.

No staff was available to assist during check-in, as we encountered difficulties using the automated check-in system. Was not notified that front counter staff were unavailable, and was unable to reach out to the hotline number provided to seek assistance on using the automated check-in system. Had to spend at least an hour on figuring out the user interface difficulties faced by the system as it did not provide us with the assigned room cards.

The self check in process was too long, you have to input insert every single detail. Plus there was only one computer allocated to check ins. The power sockets are not made for international adaptators. Couldn’t charge the laptop (which is a bit of an issue when travelling for work).

Location was great, only a few minutes away from Zurich HB, very central. Absolutely love the Molton Brown bathroom amenities.
