How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was too warm. Opening windows didnt help. No airconditioning and continental doonas made sleeping in a cool room challenging in Spring.
Excellent location, friendly staff, and good facilities.

The hotel is located in an amazing place. Great views if you have the room with mountain view. I was skiing the whole day, but my luggage was kept save in a locker room and even I could take a shower and get ready for my way back home. Amazing The staff is super friendly and they made sure nothing was missing. Recommend it with two hands 😁👌

A little bit of a hike up.
This was my fourth location staying in Wengen and will definitely return. The view is spectacular, the staff were excellent, super helpful and friendly . The breakfast is excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more.

A little further from the centre than o thought it was.
The views are incredible from the property, and the communal area is really good.

This is a flawless hotel: rooms have a great view of the Jungfrau. The staff is both helpful and well-informed; their restaurant recommendations are spot-o. Breakfasts are ample with excellent variety. I will be back.

The ski room was not perfect ( however, the host has a deal with the rental shop next to the cable car which has a very professional storage facility, and we could leave the ski equipment safely there, for free) ,
Wonderful view over the Wengen village and surroundings. Very clean and comfortable. Game room, library, at the ground floor, for relaxation. A very nice surprise was the "meet and greet" evening, with a glass of wine offered by the host.

If the mattress could be kingsize option(not combined by 2 single one), and more pillow option would be great. Meantime, coat hock could be more in the room, after all, there are lots of ski coat for the family in the winter season, which are not good to hang up in the carbinet.
The breakfast is very nice, and restaurant also very good, Mr.Victar in the restaurant is very kind, and helpful. Mr.Daniel in the reception are extremly professional, not only presented all facilities when checked in, but also very humble to check the feedback to want to improve the hotel again. The Christmas songs concert presented by the hotel team are very warm, impressive, and special. We are deeply touched by the teams' heart.

Staff were amazing to deal with, great location and amazing view! The stay was really comfortable, and the rooms were what you picture for a perfect mountain stay. I would also recommend the breakfast, delicious and fresh with local ingredients.

Wish that breakfast offerings changed slightly day to day. (Cereal, type of cooked eggs, baked goods) Surprised charged extra for hot tea after xmas dinner when could have had it free from other room.
Special dinners and Christmas sing a-long activities. Comfortable common areas. Breakfast included. Hot coffee and tea offered .

Room was too small. Very basic. No view. Bathroom very small.
My room was really small. Very basic. Just to sleep in the night. I thought I was getting a mountain facing room. Otherwise the hotel staff was very nice. Good breakfast. Great view.
