Who would be that hard to please!!?? It was perfect for us in every way.

We had the priviledge of using the Director's suite on the fourth/top floor of the hotel - with unbelievably good views - sofa in sitting room makes into another big bed - we believe there's a kitchen up there too. The hotel does B&B style in the summer with evening dining in the winter for skiers. The smorgasbord for breakfast was extensive - plenty to eat before the day's activities - they bought in some soya milk for me. There's a fridge in reception area with honesty sheet for beers etc taken and supplied by the hotel. A short walk down the road there's the super Italian Da Sina Ristorante - but book to avoid disappointment - lovely staff and great ambience and food cooked fresh to order. The staff are kind and friendly and do their utmost to help you make your stay what you are looking for - rooms cleaned daily, towels checked and replaced if used, everything looks and feels clean - whilst the Jungfrau smiles down on you and the colours of the mountains change from sunrise to sunset - occasionally you become aware of a mountain cow bell. On request a electric taxi will take you and your luggage from the station up to the hotel and on the return. Wengen is car free apart from practical deliveries by electric vehicles - you may even get to see a delivery by the valley helicopter! The hotel also has a library, well equipped games and tv room and another communal lounge - and a free pen! We were there for the annual Mendelssohn Music Festival - and got to meet a number of the professional performers at breakfast! - the Festival is a MUST! WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE !

The room with the mountain view indeed has a spectacular view! Every morning we would look outside and be amazed how beautiful the mountains are. 10/10 would recommend to go with the mountain view room. The staff were super helpful from check-in to check-out. Thank you so much!

The location was good for the view but fairly high up on a hill. We had to climb the hill every time we went to the village or further. We talked to the manager who was very helpful in many ways but he can't do anything about the hill we have to climb.

The restaurant was not open in the evenings and we were not pre warned about this. There was no fridge in the room either or any basic facilities to keep or make food. We found this tough as we were travelling with a baby. The bathroom was dated but it was nice to have a bath after a long day hiking.

The views from our terrace were amazing. All the staff were wonderful and accommodating especially Irene at breakfast. Room very comfortable and clean.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains and the view was awe-inspiring. Rooms were spacious and high ceilinged. Staff was gracious and helpful. Breakfast and all day coffee big bonus. There was a library and game room so would be a great place for a family also.

PERFECT view! Clean and comfortable. Just a bit far from the trains station — but they provide service to pick up guests from the station. So, call them when you arrive Wengen and everything will be smooth.

The hotel is located on an uphill location so it was a challenge getting up to it with luggage and if you are not so fit. BUT, they have a service pick up from the station if you notify them

The view from the front garden is so magnificent. The staff is very nice and personable and detail oriented. The bed is just firm enough. The hotel is in an uphill location so you get a fantastic view of the town. Breakfast is pretty satisfying

Paper thin walls meant you heard your neighbours and it felt like the pipes went through our room as we heard constant flushing. Constant!

Well, it's not that we didn't like anything. Last time we were here, we had the opportunity to have dinner in their restaurant, which was delicious. Unfortunately, they have closed the dinner service. But don't let that deter your stay in this beautiful hotel. One thing more, just to note, if you have elderly people with knee problems, they might find it tad bit difficult to go uphill to the hotel. I think(you should check with the hotel) they provide pickup option for those who need.

Second time we visited this hotel. The location is excellent(near to station and Männlichen cable car). Love the breakfast. Love the view from the balcony. We played billiard, table tennis, foosball. They have boardgames, library, a great patio with great view.

Toiletries can be improved. Providing bottled water in the room would be appreciated (especially for guest people who do not drink tap water)

It's not as close to the train station as it appears on the maps. One can do as I did, and call or go to the hotel to get transportation if you have trouble walking (uphill) or have luggage. Walking without luggage to the center is not bad. It's expensive, but then so are all the others in that area.

Terrific view, though a bit different than the one in the advertising (other buildings). Breakfast buffet was also pretty good, with views out the dining room windows. Would have stayed longer but not available.

Nothing not to like, its a 3 star hotel and the staff set that expectation with you even when you book it. So do not expect anything more.

The View is fantastic from our room. The breakfast was awesome. The staff were helpful and efficient. There are great games, library etc in case you are stuck on a rainy day, or want to relax after a long day. We enjoyed playing Scrabble with German letter scores!!
