The location is charming with nice lake and mountain view. The restaurant itself is on lake side which gives great view while you are eating and another plus point is the kids play area. The food was decent with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately the breakfast was somewhat limited in choice. The staffs were friendly and helpful.

The room we stayed in (superior double, no balcony on second floor) had no stand up shower, only a bath so this was a little awkward to use. The location of the room also meant that the noise from floor above, including guests walking around on creaky floor boards and their muffled conversations were audible. However, as we stated only for one night this wasn’t too much of an issue.

The location of the property and grounds was quiet and had stunning mountain and lake views from the bedroom, restaurants and gardens. Staff were all very polite, pleasant and super helpful.

The restaurant has average food. We tried Asian food as they advertise as Asian kitchen but it was not up to the standards for the price you pay.

The location was top notch. We had booked the Superior room with a balcony,the view was mesmerising. The staff is helpful.

Tv having no English channels After a day of hiking would have been lovely to have watched something in English even if English subtitles

Wow this hotel went above and beyond when it came to customer service room was ready when we arrived , our car battery died and hotel lent us jump leads . Was worried about the breakfast but was lovely . Bed was comfy enough even though was 2 beds together I would certainly go back Restaurant is expensive but taste amazing

Value for money - many facilities could be given in a better quality for the money we pay. For example the breakfast buffet had very less options and most of them were always empty too.

The best thing about this hotel was the hot top and the view only.. staff were nice but not helpful at all.. we requested to change the room 3 times and each day they give us different excuses! Cleaning service only make up the bed and changes the garbage, non of the towels nor the slippers or linen were changes as we stayed for 3 nights! The breakfast was very limited and restaurant staff not professional at all, we so them treating other guests in un-polite way.. i will give my overall experience in the hotel 6/10 only because of the view.. we expected it to be like a real hotel..

Upstairs is made by wooden it’s nice for atmosphere but also you will hear all steps because of it but i just used upstairs for sleeping so that’s not that much important. enterance floor base is really cold in winter time, you can’t walk without shoe or slipper.

Hotel location is good. Hotel employees really kind and helping a lot to make you happy as much as they can. It has so good view especially from breakfast room. Rooms are hot enough and it has own kitchen with all necessary basic equipments, you don’t have to search for restaurant. It’s cleaned well. I felt comfort and peaceful with perfect nature of country.

the location is a little far from most places, but it’s to be expected and it’s still a nice and quiet place

the breakfast scrambled eggs was good, and also had a good view most of the time. Might be better to go during summer or spring for a better view as the fog covers the lake during winter time.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, it was exactly the same every day, no variations.. On some mornings they ran out of eggs and croissants. Could use more local cheese and handmade jam... Just a suggestion. Another thing please don't do gardening maintenance early in the morning with noisy machinery. Overall 9/10

We absolutely loved our Alpen bedroom with the beautiful view to the lake and linden trees. Brienz is a beautiful small town with lots of gems around to see. The hotel all around is very picturesque and beautiful as you would except in this region. We enjoyed our stay very much

The only hotel in switzerland that extra charge for a baby bed (you can almost buy a baby bed in that price), location is high above the village, sofa hard as a rock, there is no view from the rooms as implied by the pictures

the toilet smells very bad because of the shower curtains, i asked the hotel to change it but they did not change it and just ignored my request. the breakfast is very basic, i had to bring my own breakfast food. the bed sheet was torned pic attached toilet is very small not comfortable at all.

Breakfast was quite poor and if you go at 9:40 they are already cleaning up stuff. The personell is kind but there is no extra attention for the customers.The facilities are a bit old. All in all the hotel is worth only for it's location
