How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was amazing, spacious, cozy and had everything you might need! The location is also perfect, and even though it’s next to the main train station, not loud at all!

Clean, cozy, stylish, modern, warm place to stay with small or big group. Fully equipped kitchen, small home appliances, fondu, grill on terrace, lego and books for kids (good for my daugther :)). it was great place to stay.

The threat of a 50 euro fine for not emptying the dishwasher, yet we found the dishwasher was not empty when we arrived.. There was an insect issue, especially around the dining table, most likely fungus gnats from the plants. The cookbook on display in the kitchen might offend some guests. Perhaps it was left there accidentally.
A very quiet & convenient location and the accommodation was incredibly spacious. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

Everything was fine but to watch the television an Apple TV account is needed as well as an Apple device to connect to the Apple TV box.
Our hosts were great amd easily contactable. The space was lovely - expansive views. Facilities were very nice. The apartment was easy to find given the very detailed instructions from our hosts. A Coop convenience store was located between the station and the apartment. There is also a Migros at the station. The location was very convenient for access to the main train station and to the main tram interchange.

Beds are relatively basic though good enough for a short stay. Heaters aren’t all working well, especially in the shower room so it gets really chilly.
Super convenient from train station and bus stops. Huge space for a family to hang out with Lego sets available for a toddler to stay occupied. Super well furnished kitchen.

Strict rules: garbage, laundry, dishes. Tiny little flies in the apartment. Lights are very dim.
Location very close to the main train station. Interesting city view from roof. Good communication from host.

It was spacious, conveniently located, and had many amenities. It was very clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable. It was easy and fast to communicate with the landlord. We were able to leave our bags early before check-in as well as store them longer after check-out. I would definitely stay again and also recommend it to others.

Owner sends email threatening €50 penalty if you donot empty dishwasher.
By car need to first park then collect keys. Gate was not working to enter parking area as instructed by owner so to a little time to locate area with keybox.

Great location, close to the main station, very well equipped, private and quiet. Hosts provide tea, coffee, some condiments etc. Fantastic large balcony off dining room area, which I didn't unfortunately get to use. Beds very comfortable. Nicely furnished. Not flash, but good value.

Very nice and well equipped apartment close to the train station. Felt very cozy and welcoming. Everything you need is provided. The checkin process was very smooth and the communication with the owner was perfect! The terrasse is a very nice addition to the apartment. We are looking forward to book again for our next visit ☺️

The lifts broke down, and I had to haul the luggage by the stairs.
The location is very convenient for travels from the SBB, and well connected to public transport. Despite the central location, the place is very quiet. The apartment is spacious and has a good view.
